  • split-screen & shared-screen couch gaming any suggestions? (ps4 mainly)

So me and the wife recently got ourselves a fancy ol' ps4 pro and we're looking for something to play together.
What kind of suggestions do you have for us? Got any good hidden-gems of split-screen or shared-screen games that we should know about?

We so far have Unravel 2.

Our interests are mostly rpg's, we recently played divinity original sin 2 on the pc (with shitty cheapo-controllers that kept getting disconnected btw)
It was a pretty awesome experience and i'd gladly pay for it again for the ps4 if i got a decent enough discount.

Any suggestions are welcome! Although i'd like co-op more so than competitive (so mayyybe no need to mention fighters like tekken unless there's a more casual one you think could work)

You're also free to just give your favorites a shout-out!

It is a very serious game that relies on teamwork. Its not one of those you can carry the other person if you need to, lol. I also second Diablo III. That was pretty fun co-op as well. Do you have a Xbox One? A lot of Halo and Gears co-op there too.

Diablo III for sure, since you guys like RPG's.

I highly recommend checking out A Way Out. It's not an RPG, but is entirely designed for co-op. Pretty accessible imo and I think you guys would have fun with it, despite both characters being male, it's just a cool story, with creative situations, and light action. It's not totally macho, more like a good movie and a mid-tier Uncharted with more gameplay variety.

My wife and I play rock band 4. It's a lot of fun and I've purchased a bunch of extra songs.

If you have any interest in ARPGs, Diablo 3 on consoles is actually great. I can understand why hardcore Diablo players disliked the game when it was released. It was obviously made for consoles, which is why it controls so well with a gamepad. The format is also perfect for a single-screen 4 -player couch-coop. Just remember to play with an actual friend and not someone who insists on the rule "first player to pick up loot owns it".
