  • What interesting gaming related fact have you learned recently?

I actually had my mind blown by a fact that I accidentally discovered. Which is: EAC or Electronic Arts Canada, currently EA's main and biggest office, was built over a company that EA purchased a very long time ago. This company was DSI or Distinctive Software Inc, known for games like the original Test Drive, Wings of Fury, or Stunts.

Stunts was my absolute favorite driving game, until in 1995 Need for Speed was released for the PC. Which was developed by Electronic Arts Canada. Well it took me 23 years to realize that they were developed by the same people, as EAC was DSI for all intents and purposes at the time.

Labyrinth had a Japan-exclusive NES game. I love that film and was surprised to find out there was a game at all. Another one I can think of is that there's an official Lupin III board game that was only released in Italy.
Chickens are quite possibly the most vicious creatures I have encountered.

Final Fantasy X's aesthetics were based off Pacific Islander culture. I never put 2 and 2 together until it was pointed out to me recently. It kinda blew my mind. The character, setting and design choices always felt so unique I couldn't put my finder on. thought it was my imagination all these years. Not too many games that use that culture. Baten Kaitos is another one.

Delta Force 1 was the first online multiplayer FPS game that had servers that can have 16 vs 16 lasting 90 minutes(without crashing).
