I often grind unnecessarily. In games where you have small amounts of ammo I usually end up with an inventory full of bullets. If I need 2000 resources I often continue to grind until I have 20000. I am a person that likes to grind...

I also tend to have podcasts, debates, lectures, etc running in the background as someone mentioned above. There's something about the feeling of doing 2 things at the same time that makes it more interesting.

I think this is pretty common actually but in RPGs and open world type games I need to look in every box, barrel, sack, room, etc, search every body, and generally gather a bunch of useless or semi useless stuff.

Not really a quirk, but I am a compulsive saver - if I haven't saved in some fashion every 5-15 minutes, max, I get twitchy. I've played too many games where some glitch would get me killed or crash a game, and I'd lose hours of play - so I save before every fight, every conversation, every cutscene ... a game has to be very engaging to make me forget ... and usually, that's when something goes wrong.

Ha ha yeah I'm also guilty of that. To the point where I really dislike playing a game where you can only save at checkpoints if I play one at all. Quicksave button is my friend.

Dude, so many times I'd boot up the Xbox to play Morrowind only to find that my character's save file was corrupted somehow. That's when I learned the value of multiple saves and saving often.
