My only current quirk if you can call it that, is that I never use macros (regardless of both my gaming mouse and keyboard supporting them.
And the fact that I don't use more than the classic left / right mouse buttons. Even the middle click is a last resort when I have no way to assign the action somewhere else.

I used to play inverted Y axis for a long time too. I also used the cursor keys instead of WSAD.

I don't know how and why I kicked the habit of inverting the Y axis, I don't even know when that happened exactly. Probably it was because of a few games that didn't allow me to invert it.

I was forced to abandon the cursor keys when games started to come out that needed more than my usual CTRL = CROUCH , ENTER = USE, SHIFT = RUN keys to play. I definitely remember playing HL1 with the cursor keys still. And Jedi Knight, where I just assigned everything to the keys near ENTER like comma or backslash. Used that setup until I eventually migrated to WSAD.

For FPS games I have to configure the movement and other keys to the numpad side because I am left-handed, but I play other games with the normal WASD setup.

When I'm playing a game, and I don't want to press a certain button (Right Click for Robot in Nuclear Throne, etc.) I usually feel an urge to press that button specifically.

Sometimes when I'm walking in a game, I get the urge to mash specific keys on my keyboard, so my character ends up walking weird in games.

Games that are very grindy I like to listen to podcast. Monster Hunter World is a good example of this, by the end I was running out of podcast, lol

I always need something in the background when I game. Whether a tv, music, or youtube podcast, I just need something else back there for some reason.
