Custom Robo on the Gamecube was fun, and doesn't seem to be that popular either. Also it was the first T rated game I got has a kid, so it holds some nostalgia.

    Probably Rescue Rover.

It's an overhead puzzle game by id Software, and one of my favorite DOS games to pick up and play a stage here and there.

My favorite unknown game is/was SuperPower 2

It is a Geo-Political simulator - Take command of any country in the world and shape its politics, economy and military.

Now on its own this game can get boring fast - What made this game so amazing was its online component - Believe you could play with 32 other players and mods would eventually make it higher and combine this with a great community that roleplayed their nations, formed alliances, plotted against other nations, formed secret deals.

Imagine being a Nuclear power and secretly selling nuclear weapons to an unstable North Korean leader - It was a game limited only by the players imaginations,

    Alternate Reality: The Dungeon
Not played it in a good while but it blew me away when I played it on my C64.
Years later when the internet arrived and I found out more about how the game was made and read about plans the creator had for the series it blew me away again.

Recettear: An Item Shop Game. Yes, it's an item shop game. You manage a store and price things. Sure it's monotonous, but there's a charm to it. Others include Tobal No1, Einhander, Shadow Hearts to name a few.

Its probably not that "unkown" since it has a tone of games, but I love the Ys series, especially the older ones.

I actually loved both Viva Piñata games. I don’t know how exactly unknown they were, considering they had a TV show, but no one I’ve talked to has ever heard of them. They were just fun little games to unwind to for the most part.

Every once in a while I like to boot up Whip-Lash, by no means a excellent game, but you play as a weasel handcuffed to a rabbit and try to break out of an animal testing lab.

More people need to know about this game it has it flaws but it's fun for an quick hour or two.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition! Playing this game just brings a smile to my face.
The definitive version of the smash hit Metroidvania-style action-platformer, Guacamelee! STCE adds new levels, powers, challenges and refinements to the sprawling, ridiculous, Mexican-inspired adventure of the original Guacamelee! Gold Edition.

Steambot Chronicles was a PS2 game I had found at my local Gamestop some 10+ years ago and fell in love with it.

You have a mech you can pilot and run around in, can play around 6 different musical instruments with a band and earn money, go hunting for fossils to fill a museum. The music in the game has still stuck with me to this day and I went out of my way a couple of years ago to track down a copy of it, and had to pay a pretty penny for the game.

Imagine my shock when I realize I'd missed out on such a celebrated title when my PC gaming habit was in its infancy. I simply had to have it. Fortunately, GOG's winter sale afforded me the chance. So far, it lives up to its reputation. As long as one can admire the presentation and trappings of a 90s era action movie, it proves to be a unique strategic romp.
