First modern Urban Chaos I believe was TPP and nobody gave a damn about the game but Riot Response was just balls to the wall awesome brute-fest with a high production value. Just pure gameplay, ass tingling kill cams and arcade-style replayability. Great pick

the games i keep going back to once in a while and never get bored of playing are Discworld (1995) and Discworld 2 (1996) . 2 games that are based on the Terry Pratchett universe. Pure joy and humorous to play. There have been a lot of requests for a re-release/remake of there games to sell on GOG.. Sadly none knows who owns the IP for these games any more.. not even his daughter Rhianna Pratchett
So if they try to remake/remaster this game they will just end up getting sued by some random douche who keeps this IP for themself just for this reason..

Lost planet 2, cameo out at the wrongest of times. I can argue it is one of the best Co-op experiences ever. Unfortunately its PC port was a mess and does not work...

One of my favorite, recent, relatively unknown games is a PC game called DUSK. It's available on Steam (has about 2,000 reviews, so I'm not sure if that qualifies as 'unknown'). Its a horror-themed homage to the early days of 3D PC FPS (wow that's three acronyms at once!), in the same style of Doom, Quake, and Unreal. The graphics also are intentionally dated-looking in the spirit of the classics, but the art decisions are phenomenal. Multiplayer is a blast if you've got opponents to play with, and the campaign is certainly not a half-assed afterthought like so many modern shooters. Every mission of every act, just when it feels like it may start to get old, throws in a new twist to keep it interesting and you on your toes; from the start of the game to the finish.
I like it so much I may do a full review of it one of these days.

I really like the game Two Worlds. Dunno if it counts as an "unknown" game because I think I remember reading a review about it in Game Informer.
Something funny I remember is that on the back of the case in those stupid advertisements they always put on them it read, "It's like Oblivion on steroids!" My brother and I used to joke that it's because of how bad the game was in comparison and was more of an OD on steroids. The game wasn't that bad, but it wasn't even on par with Oblivion. It had super cool armor though.

Although thanks to Steam and years of existence of the internet these games became more popular outside of their country of origin, but I'll still recommend them.- Red Comrades series
- Etherlords 1&2
- Space Rangers
- NIght Watch
- Pathologic

Runers. Roguelike twinstick where you combine magic to create spells. Looks like dogshit but it is fantastic.

Dwarfs!?
I love it because I love dwarves! Also, the tutorial guy is voiced by Simon from the Yogscast. It's an entertaining little game about running a colony of dwarves and trying to micromanage everything for as long as you can before you get overwhelmed.

I've had my eye on that game for a while, as I've head the book. But I've been holding off since it was episodic and I knew it wasnt going to launch with all the pisodes. I can't find any information anywhere if all the episodes have been released yet or when they are going to drop the remaining episodes. can you shine some light on the subject for me please?Originally posted by TheMightyWyvern View PostPillars of the earth, it has the adventure game gameplay thats similar to telltale games and graphics like an 80s cartoon and a dark realistic world

I have to argue the point that Crusader Kings II is an "unknown game." Paradox Grand Strategy, of which Crusader Kings II is a member, constitutes its own subgenre.Originally posted by Sudo View PostI love a game called Crusader Kings 2.
As of this posting, on Steam alone, the title has:- 20,000+ reviews
- An average rating of "Very Positive" (90%)

I love a game called Crusader Kings 2. It was made back in 2012, a lot of people bitch about the dlcs but you can get most of the collection for about 100usd. Check out the live action trailers they made when you watch the launch trailer. All are accurate to the game.
Also there's a fantastic mod called elder kings. Check it out!
