Arma 3 has not exactly bad microtransactions but the DLCs are pretty expensive and are basically required because most servers require the DLCs. Many items can't be used some vehicles around the world are off linits and you sometimes get full screen watermarks. Arma is a great game but has some annoying DLCs. So when buying the games expect to buy it with the $60 plus DLCs.

Yeah, however since I believe I got in a a humble bundle, I got the game and DLC at a discounted price, making me not really notice it as much, but looking on its Steam page I see what you mean.
Yeah expensive DLC sucks, and mentioning DLCs, the Sims games are also notorious for their large amounts of overly expensive DLCs and extras. If you were to buy the game and all the DLCs at a normal price, the game would easily be over like 200 dollars.
