I usually get about 3/4 through a game and then move on to something else. This also goes for movies and books; it is a rare thing that I finish anything. A product has to keep me entertained all the way through, or I will simply lose interest.

I like to finish games and i dont as often as i think i should but im also fine with playing something for 30 hours and feeling like ive had enough without completing it. I've become a much bigger fan of shorter 6-10 hour games because i can complete it and move on to something else. I dont 100% stuff like i used to in high school just because i have so many more games available and far less time than back then.

It's unusual for me to finish a game. I usually play competetive FPS games, which can't be beat. Also, some of the achievements for them are damn near impossible.
However, recently I have started feeling the hunger to collect steam achievements and get perfect games. Maybe it's because I have an achievement showcase on my profile. Anyway, whenever I sit down at the comp and don't know what to play, I just look around for achievements I haven't unlocked yet.My Profile > Edit Settings > Account Tab > Scroll down to "Conversational Detail Options" > Click the Link > Eat a cookie

I like to play the games for their stories and gameplay. I try to %100 the story and at most i'll do 3 playthroughs. I will never %100 complete a game because I don't want to burn myself out on a game just in case ill want to revisit in the future. Some games I take a long while to complete (Mostly Indie games and Dark souls) since im either frustrated or play in bursts so I take a while but I get it done

I try to beat most games that I play. If I pay for it, I want to get as much entertainment as I can out of it. If I lose interest because it's boring or bad, I won't force myself to play it, I just trade it in. If I really like a game, I'll do all the sidequests and get the best stuff. Sometimes, I'll get 90% thru a game then realize that I didn't like it.

It depends on the type of game. With some I'm a completionist - have to find all the everything and get the skill points/achievements/trophies. Spyro and Ratchet and Clank come to mind here. With other games I don't worry so much about it - ignore side quests if I don't feel like it and just complete as needed to progress. A lot of the games I play are sandbox so apart from any achievements to complete, there isn't a defined "finish" to the game.

Very rarely doing 100% except when I dont want the game to end (like Hollow Knight). If the game is ok but not great (like Sundered) I just do "bad ending" (quickest possible route to end credits). But overall I think I complete most games I start playing. Sadly its not very many games that are appealing to me that I have not already played
