What are the most important features for the next generation of gaming consoles?

Better graphics and whatnot
More cpu
Still support physical
Compress downloads
Don't be dependent on online

Bam. That's about it.

Fix download speeds - my ps4 could only get about 35mbps (ithink it was, havent touched it in a long while) despite having 150mbps internet
fix the buggy and laggy UI (ps4)
ship with 2TB HDD or 500gb SSD or something. Or both....
dont try to be a social media platform.
i dont play console much anymore. Only when im out of town for extended periods so i dont know if the ps4 pro fixed any of this etc.

In not too fussed really, I don't really use much social media so it's useless for me.
I have a PS4, PC, XBOX and Switch only bought the PS4 and PC the others were given to me.
Exclusives are fine with me, I don't really like it but I don't think there is anything wrong with them, PC also get exclusives but it never seems to bother people.

I also don't understand the arguments over which is best, consoles and PC have their uses.

Letting you upgrade the consoles throughout the years would be good but will most likely be taken advantage of, they will probably sell the upgrades at extortionate prices for very slight benefits.

If they choose to go diskless then I hope the add more memory and let us own the games we buy, hopefully they will also get rid of tier releases and just go with a standard like they used to. Surely it will save a lot of money for publishers which would mean less monetization, but that'll never happen.

Things I want in the next gen consoles:

• Full backwards compatibility. All the way back to ps1/xbox
• Physical game discs
• Digital download with purchase of physical disc (movies do this)
• 4k UHD discs
• 100% Offline play permitted (don't want that fuck up like Xbox had last time)
• Ability to share digital games with friends (remember it was talked about before?)
• More games like Fallout 4 & Skyrim which allow us to finally use mods
• More USB ports on the front
• More memory
• Less expensive controllers
• Less expensive console
• Less Noisy fan
• Better entertainment applications interactivity (like ability to comment on YT videos)
• Better video recording ability
• Better video editing software

Maybe if you show me where I defended the MS release of the Xbox One you might have a point, but if you can't show me that I have defended it then you can't possibly have a point. Similarly if you see me jumping on posts\threads to make comments unrelated to the subject matter simply to use inflammatory words such as how things are trash, or garbage, or rubbish, or using childish misnaming then again please feel free to accuse me of being a fanboy.

Since you're the one who took it upon himself to jump down my throat because you see to think I'm jumping around different threads and posts to say how trash gaming systems other than the PS are, why don't you go ahead and post it here? The closest thing you'll find is me posting how I think the Kinect was crap (it was) and that the Xbox Arcade was a gimped console (it was. And I said they should try it again) in this thread. Also I posted in a thread entitled "Are consoles a ripoff?" in which I made my case for consoles being worth buying, which was literally the point of the thread. I have 80 posts on this forum, so you won't have much to surf through, bud.

"childish misnaming" - If you're referring to Xbone, it's a common shorthand of Xbox One similar to how PS4 is for PlayStation 4. No need to spout tears over it.
