When are we going to get a good Star Trek game ?

Something like Star Wars Battlefront or the Jedi Academy. Something not based on a movie ( please lord not based on the new series STD ( Star Trek Academy ) . There is a huge following for Star Trek, and im almost positive almost all gamers are also fans of Trek as well. The best game out to date is Star Trek Online, which is decent. but id like to see a AAA Trek game. Bethesda many years ago had gotten the rights to produce a game, but it flopped somehow and turned into ST Legacy which was complete doo doo.

has anyone heard anything from any source about a possible game? any rumors or will we always be in a Trek game purgatory.

ive played it. i made it up somewhere in the lvl 20s or something a few years back. its alright. its just super grind like. the space battles are pretty cool. but the story as far as i could tell was just a bunch of rehashing of older Trek series episodes. which makes it feel like ive already been there and done that.

Quentin Tarantino is coming out with a rated R movie. it is definitely confirmed to happen. Thats the only movie i could see that could promote a good game... imagine a horror survival Trek game.... OOOoooooO.. just thinking about that gets me excited haha

Nobody has touched the brand since Digital Extremes took a giant shit on it in 2013. Are you into MMOs? Star Trek Online is actually not terrible.

I really enjoyed Star Trek Elite Force 1 and 2. I thought they were fun FPS games. I would love to see a reboot of the series, but I don't see it happening, as there isn't much hype around Star Trek in popular culture these days. Maybe if they release a new movie and it does really well, the AAA companies might take an interest and greenlight a game. Fingers crossed!
