  • Will 2019 be a good year for game wise

January is seemingly a lull for all of the net and the games industry especially. So to pass the time, do you think the games industry will do well in general and for you personally. For me as long as Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Animal Crossing are in my hands by the end of the year I'll be a happy camper.

January releases: KH III/RE2/Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition
Not a bad month if you ask me.

And going forward, there are at least 3 games in Feudal Japan, so i am good for this year

      Kingdom Hearts 3
      Resident Evil 2 Remake
      God Eater 3
      Code Vein
      Mortal Kombat 11
      Devil May Cry 5
      Dead or Alive 6
      Jump Force
Anthem (Still hopeful it will be good, but definitely not counting on a sequel)
      Days Gone
Crash Team Racing (My nostalgia is ready)

Not really enough to make me believe it's going to be an amazing year. 2017 is still a stellar strike in recent years for me.

Wreckfest got pushed back into this year too - I know not many people have that on their radar, but I think they will after it comes out, assuming they do a halfway decent job of porting it (it's been out on PC for about half a year now).

          I don't know but I'm doubtful.
it depends how publishers act after last year, they haven't left 2018 on the best terms. If they decide to go all out money grabbing then it's safe to assume it'll be a terrible year.

I'm not even kidding when I say this, but I made a list of 45 games a few weeks ago that will be coming out this year and while not all of them will be good, (I included things like Anthem in there) they will be interesting, and I knowingly left some games out that will probably also be good just because the list got so long. I could post the list if anyone wants to see it, but the point is, yes, this year should be amazing and who knows what will be announced for release in the coming months or even at E3 that is releasing this year, or what the heck Sony is doing by skipping E3. It's probably something big which should lead to even better year, at least hopefully. Even if it's not, yeah I think this year is going to be great.

I think we've reached the point that it would be foolish to expect a slow or a "bad" year in gaming anymore. Someone else just make a thread asking about why you do during the year's gaming droughts. I thought about it for a minute and then realized we haven't really had one for about a decade now.

I want to try the game with the baby in a bottle whose name I don't remember, check if the new METRO is any good (I never had a closure about STALKER being abandoned), and schadenfreude on all mobile games failing.

I don't want to risk my feelings expecting anything from Elder Scrolls 6. I don't forgive bethesda.
And I expect to be disappointed by Cyberpun 2077, because is the safest way to no disappoint my snowflake internal child.

Baby in a bottle, I think you mean Death Stranding or Norman Reedus and the funky fetus

I'm looking forward to The Outer Worlds by Obsidian, although 2018 has left me paranoid about having high expectations for games, so I'll maintain a cautious attitude until I know more. But it does look damn pretty.
