  • During the dry months, what do you do?

So, when the games aren't coming out, what do you do? What happens when the taps have run dry for the predictable future?

Try to play my giant backlog. Key word is *try*. I'd probably end up playing OW, No Man's Sky or Fallout 4.

The games I play are over a decade old, lol.

        I am fine.

I almost never have issues. To be honest 2018 was so bad for gaming that its allowed me to play a lot of old stuff. Only pretty Smash has been a really "new" big game that I've played.

I have games still in shrink wrap and games purchased during Steam sales never even started - i think i could go the whole year without needing a new game.

Well, we haven't had a "dry" season for about a decade now. So I'm usually stacked.

Huge backlog, retro games, imports, older current gen games I havn't bought yet for various reasons, it would really need a 5+ year long drought before I remotely run out of "new" games to play.

I still have to play fallout tactics, which GOG suddenly gifted to me out of nothing, and is resting on my HD.

I never have a dry period, I rarely complete games quickly so it's an ever been a problem.
I also enjoy Minecraft and cities skylines so I'm always playing something.

I'll even replay games if I'm desperate but I rarely am.

This might be controversial, but I like to go outside.

Go back to Monster Hunter World, mod Fallout or work my-self through my ever growing backlog.

2018 was mostly dry for me because a lot of the time nothing was releasing that I cared about. During that time I pulled out my 3DS and played games I never finished or even got past points in some games that I couldn't figure out before and played some games I already beat but never revisited and had a good time with them. That's usually what I do during down times, and in a lot of ways, that's sometimes more fun than getting new games.

sorry amigo, but I'm never dry >; )

on a serious note though, I'm constantly shifting between recent releases and older stuff that I don't get that feeling.

I have a few single player games that I like so much I play through them once at year. After that the backlog has me covered until my hands fall off.
