What media do you want to be adapted into a video game.
Any media that is not currently a game but you think could be a good one comment below. I'd say for me it'd have to be Slaughterhouse five, if a really creative team adapted that novel faithfully into a game it'd be one of the most unique games ever made imoTags: None

I second that, I always wanted a good Stargate video game, but the only promising one, was canceled. However I believe definitely could work, I think of something like what No Man Sky was suppose to be, but without flying from planet to planet with a Spaceship, you use the Stargate to explore. You would start out with one gate address, then from exploring you would acquire more.Originally posted by henk717 View PostI have always wanted a really well made stargate game where like the series its just as much what you decide to do as the shooting.
As much as I like SG1 from the show, I think it would be cool, if you were the leader of your own squad that you customized yourself, choosing your members' skills and appearances. The reason I say this, was because one of the biggest things about Stargate, was having that squad, which were like family and at times they would go through some pretty big hardships on their missions. So having that custom squad you made, I feel would give the player more an attachment to them, and allow for some cool missions, and if your squadmates say had permadeath, it would allow you has squad leader to make some pretty impactful choices, along with other big choices that could affect back home on earth.
Now I know this seems a bit of a stretch, and I really don't think a game like this would be for just casual players, but I think having mechanics like these, would make you somewhat more immersed in a world, which focuses on exploration, but also those big decisions that are consistently made by the leaders of the squads throughout the show.

There was an old TV Show that had a brief duration, but I thought it would be an awesome concept for a game.
The show was called "Brimstone" where a cop named Ezekiel Stone killed a man that raped his wife that was let off the hook. Stone then was killed shortly after and sent to hell. Then an unprecedented event 15 years later caused 113 nasty escapees to flee Hell (in human form on the show), so the devil made a deal with Stone by allowing him to come back to Earth from Hell to do his dirty work for him and track them down. Stone then received 113 named pictographs that are tattooed on his body whereby the corresponding pictograph burns away when an escapee is sent back to Hell. Stone is doing all this at a chance to be sent back to Earth in order to be redeemed, to get a chance to see his wife again, but the devil not only taunts him, he gets in Stone's way by throwing him a curve ball every once in a while for his own amusement. This creates an interesting dynamic between Stone and the Devil, who disguises himself as the adult version of a kid Stone bullied when he was younger. The writing was good.
I enjoyed the show, but a well done game where you go around solving "quest lines" that lead you to each escapee to send back to Hell with the Devil mocking you or making your life harder would be so entertaining. If you're curious about the show, I've posed some links below.

I just finished binge watching Season 1 of Goblin Slayer... it 2ould make a good game, but the Anime is so filled with tabletop RPG references that you could argue that it's basically a fan ,ade module for bioware's neverwinter nights game....

I think it would be interesting to see a game based on Farscape. A Lupin III game might also be interesting, there's already some games based on the series (including a board game that was only released in Italy) but I haven't really looked into it, there might be some good ones, I've heard there's some bad ones as well.

I would like a proper adaption of The Lord of the Rings. Not another Shadow of Mordor-esque title, as good as they are. I want something with the gameplay and exploration of Skyrim, and the richness of story in The Witcher 3. Something with a similar setting of the LOTR books has great potential to be amazing. There is so much lore to work with.
I can just imagine the beautiful and the evil landscapes. The vast amount of weapons. The armor. The races that can be chosen. The traveling. This is a game I want to play before I die.Last edited by Juan-ton_Soup; 01-12-2019, 04:37 AM.

Didn't expect to see that here. Yeah, Stargate would be pretty cool.

I would like to experience Frederick Pohl's Gateway. But I don't think that a game can reproduce his atmosphere.
I would also like to fight for survival in a ship/space station infested with watchmakers from The Mote in God's Eye. But the watchmakers should have a real AI, capable of crushing humans like Leela does in chess.
The player should learn how the watchmakers behave, and try to sneak out of the station, like in Alien Isolation, by using manipulation, sabotage, deceive, stealth and exploiting the game's physics. Any minor mistake, and the watchmakers rain over you.

I really always wanted a good Battle Star Galactica game.
They made a crappy arcade one.

The Dresden Files book series. It would be good as an action rpg. I don't think there's any games like it so it would be different in every sense.
