Got a bunch of stuff during holiday sales, of course all the free games, LEGO Lord of The Rings, LEGO The Hobbit (both Steam) and Full Throttle Remastered and SOMA (both GoG). Also Ubisoft gave away Anno 1602 on Uplay.
Then I found a Humble Bundle like website called Fanatical where I got a bunch of sweet Steam bundles
The Sega Genesis Classic Bundle + Sonic CD, 59 games basically combine the last gen Sega Classic Collection with the current one (including Sonic 3 and Knuckles)
A pick and choose Idea Factory Bundle, I took the 5 games option (others where either 1 or 3 games) and picked Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth 1-3, Hyperdevotion Noire and Monster Mon Piece
The Learn Japanese to Survive Bunlde with the full trilogy.
On Steam the Sale itself:
Got the full Deep Space Waifu collection
Mirror (a game like HuniePop)
And I finally found a decently priced copy of Ys VIII on the Switch, this game has become kinda rare here for some reason. Only downside is that the back cover is in french.
A rogue lite called Trash Squad
Vermintide 2
A bunch of Men of War games
a Russian indie FPS game called Red Alliance
The rest are microtransactions in GOOD mobile games (Dead Trigger 2 and Shadowgun Legends)
This is one of my altime favorites i finished it in one go till i got Platinum on it i hope Guerilla Games developes a sequel it would be one of the games i would Preorder because the first one didn't dissapoint me.
^Hellersche I loved it too. I'm finishing the Frozen Wilds right now and I'm loving it so much. I too would like either a direct sequel or another game in this world since I love it so much, I'm really hoping for it <3
A whole bunch of late 00's early 10's games 'cos Steam Winter Sale, most of which I've played on consol before... actually wait, not quite true, Dawn of War II and Sniper Elite 3 I've not played before. Eh... at any rate, the aggregate will waste enough of my time until the next sale comes around... -_-
December was a slim month, do to Christmas, so I missed the Steam Winter Sale by 1 day. Probably for the best, I have plenty of games I should finish before buying a new one.
Total War: Warhammer Series for me taking advantage of the steam sales, its always nice when it comes around. especially for games with a lot of of DLC
I got given RDR 2 for christmas. I've put in quite a few hours now and finding it quite irritating.
I decided not to buy another Rockstar games after GTA 5 and its online monetisation, constant online DLC and lack of single player DLC.
I don't play online games anymore, not since World of Warcraft.
Witcher 2. Almost 8 years old and it still delivers like a champ. Wonderful game.
Also STRAFE and Devil Daggers. Both generally cool games for the price, but I expected much more from STRAFE and it's sound design irritates me.
I bought Xenoblade Chronicles 2:: Torna - The Golden Country not too long ago. I'm hoping to get around to that as soon as I get through the main game.
Also bought Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight during Steam's Winter sale.
That reminds me, I never finished the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (main game). I remember I liked the story and characters, but I think I got stuck somewhere (I suck at the game ). I really should go back and try again.
I bought a Wii U about a month ago, and since then I have also picked up about 30 games for it. I was able to snag the system in like new condition for around $100, and the games are cheap as well. I've been having a blast with it. I wish I had bought the system ages ago. The gamepad really adds a lot to a game when the developer takes advantage of it.
I wonder if something like Wii Sports (or what was it called) is/will be available on Switch? I don't own Wii U, but the game looked quite interesting. If you have the game, what are your thoughts on it?
monnef Wii Sports Club for Wii U is pretty fun. They have definitely improved on the original Wii Sports available on the Wii. I'd like to see a "sports' game on the Switch. They probably won't port the existing game (although you never know), but I have a few Switch games that use motion controls, and they all handle really well. Some of the Wii Sports Club games use the Gamepad, so I don't know how they would carry that functionality over to the Switch. I'm sure they will come up with something equally original if they make a Switch Sports game.
