  • How unexcited are you for the next Call of Duty?

Black Ops 4 was pretty average, zombies and blackout are fun enough but the rampant microtransactions leave an awful taste in my mouth. If infinity ward releases a ghosts sequel I'm going to riot
I'm crawling deeper and deeper into backlog hell

Not excited. Black Ops 4 showed how much Activision wants to shit on the core of the franchise. Expecting even less numbers this time around.

If it comes without a single player campaign then it might as well not exist.

Not at all especially since IW didn't produce anything good since MW2, then again the last cod I played was black ops 2 so...eh.

Honestly does. I remember when I got Cod 4 and my online buddy on XBL wanted me to stop playing 4 and go back to playing 2 with him

Not excited at all. Then again, I've never been excited for CoD. Well, the Advanced Warfare E3 reveal peaked my interest, but that's about it.

Stopped buying after Ghosts. I think I made the right choice.

If the next title is not MW4 that highly resembles MW1, 2 and 3 I think this will be the first CoD I pass on. Black Ops 4 has left a really bad taste in my mouth. From mediocre map design, focus on specialists, higher time to kill showing the net code issues, the money grabbing, etc etc etc. I could go on and on but Black Ops 4 has really burned me compared to other ones. MW4 is the only way I am staying playing CoD but as of now I have little hope.

I am completely unexcited, I can't possibly be less excited. I think TDM and its byproducts are pointless circle-jerks (literally, you just run circles around each other) for brainless morons, all offense intended. I prefer my FPS PVP with objective-based scenarios, and the pop-gaming TDM games overshadow the market and take funding away from them. The closest I get to what I want is the BF games, but those are the lowest possible form of a 'scenario' and 3rd person cameras ruin tactical shooters when you can see around obstacles without exposing yourself. I'm waiting for a game to capture the same feeling I got playing RTCW:ET, doing more than just capturing points and clicking on glowies, but actually escorting vehicles that can be destroyed and need to get fixed, and having the ability to end a match rather quickly if you can sneak behind the lines with the correct tools to complete the final objective.

Well, since last year's CoD was online only, not that excited. This previously annual CoD purchaser will be skipping it once more if that is again the case. But microtransactions? Loot boxes? Multiplayer problems ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

However, this year's CoD game is by Infinity Ward. So hopefully we will get a Modern Warfare 2 Remaster along with the main game like we did when it was their turn in 2016. So I'm hopeful.

I haven't been excited for a CoD game since MW3 or Black Ops 2.

Blops 4 is fun, but the absence of a campaign is hard to shake off (even though not a single CoD this gen had a campaign that was worth more than one playthrough).

Whatever comes next will probably by fine, but not worthy of hype.

The next time I get legitimately excited for CoD, will be when they develop a game on a new engine.

Call of duty just needs a major overhaul. The whole Black ops thing should have ended with BO2. It's just all got a bit ridiculous. They need a new setting and a new period for it take place in. Enough with the futuristic shite, been there done that. I was honestly surprised they did nothing in regards to WW1 what with it being 100 year anniversary. Even the Vietnam segments of BO1 i thought were really good, definately had potential i thought.
