Welcome, friends... to the first major Exclusively Games forum event. This is the EXG "Best PS4 RPG" Tournament. I wanted to do something fun and test the limitations of this forum in its infancy. So I decided I'm going to be hosting a voting Tournament over the next couple of weeks if things go well. This thing rides on the amount of participation from the users and leniency from the moderators. The tournament you all will be voting in will take place over several weeks and multiple brackets, starting with the preliminaries. I used my own methods to come up with 100 pre-set RPGs and Action/Adventure titles on the PS4. I'm not going to be a genre nazi on the subject, so keep in mind some of the games are not strictly RPGs. As well as I am not planning on going balls deep with the graphics, banners and all that... this is an experiment and mostly for fun. Get to voting!

Preliminary rules:

Umm... you are probably the LAST person on these forums to say that, Mr Shitpost Extraordinaire. I don't think I've ever seen you give a replay that wasn't more than two sentences.

Btw, how would you do it? Just curious.

Not gonna lie, this is the worst bracket so far. Only I am Setsuna, Dragon Quest Heroes II and Kingdom Hearts are actual proper RPG's. South Park comes close, but it's clearly not an RPG for the sake of being an RPG, so it's hard to count it for much, and Dark Souls, AC: Odyssey or Mass Effect Andromeda being considered RPG's is laughable. The rest of the games on this list are just bad. Sorry for sounding like a snob, but this list is a reminder to me that people are so damn quick to mislabel a game because of poor understanding of what makes a genre, a genre, and a general lack of effort to find that out. A game can have RPG elements, or God Forbid, come from Japan and not be an RPG.

Point being to weed out all the bad games. That's not even 100 RPGs on the PS4, let alone good ones.

I'll probably give each of these a "shameless bump" one more time before the polls expire tomorrow. But to address some concerns on a serious level...
It is right in the FAQ that tournaments in general have a slightly spammy nature. This is however, the last of the Preliminaries. Meaning after this final set, there won't be any more thread spam. After the polls are scheduled to close on Sunday, I'll tally the votes and wait a day or two and then start up the next phase.--Which should be a significantly tighter ship with proper spacing.

As far as the title choices go, it again, is right in the description that the point of the preliminaries is to weed out the lesser titles. The next phase will bring the heat with better games consisting of the winners from each bracket. As well as some new surprise nominees. Hint... Tales of Vesperia & KHIII.
