WOW BFA is it good

What is everyone's opinion about world of warcraft's new expansion BFA. I feel that they hyped it up so well then let the community down with a lack of content. I think that Activision played a big part in this due to the trend of poor content blizzard games have been releasing after signing with Activision. What are all of your thoughts about it.

I haven't played a new WoW expansion since Cataclysm. Games as a service model doesn't really jive with my play style. No matter what kind of game we are talking about. WoW was the exception for me, but even that had its limits. But if you are asking if the base game is good for anyone wanting to jump in without previous WoW experience, now is a good time as any to dive in.

I've heard it's bad.
haven't played it for a long time, it took me ages to get clean so I'm not going to risk giving it a try.
It would be like giving a recovering alcoholic a bottle of beer, it could end badly.
