started a topic All about the mods...

    All about the mods...

Simple question(s) (stemming from watching a live streamer provide riveting content by modding the game he was playing during the stream!):

    Favourite mod for whichever game?
Have you modded anything yourself? If so, how'd it go?

In terms of professional level mods, favourite is probably Call of Warhammer, Beginning of the End Times for Medieval 2.
And I did some low level modding for Rome: Total War to make the Egyptians look more sensible, add Sciritae Hoplites to the Greek roster, make the low level pikemen actually be able to withstand getting shot more than once and a few other sundry things, so not really a proper mod per se... it was alright... broken as hell in some ways, but fun nonetheless.

Currently playing Skyrim heavy modded, once you mod, you never go back.

Games I have downloaded mods for:
    (> Xcom 1 & 2
    (> Skyrim
    (> Fallout 3 & NV
    (> C&C Generals + zero hour
    (> Starcraft: Broodwars
    (> Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne
    (> Killing Floor
    (> Left 4 Dead 2
(> Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
(> State of Decay Vanilla + Yose
    (> TF 2 (only textures)
    (> Civilization V
    (> Others I don't remember

The only modding I had ever done was:
(> Maps for Starcraft: Broodwars. Like a couple of custom made campaigns and even PvP maps.
(> Age of Mythology Maps for single player skirmish.
(> Changing textures & values in some games to fit my play stile.

That is pretty much it, nothing major. Even if I wish I could mod as good as some modders on the Nexus.

I don't play a lot of mods. I guess my favorite was tekkit for Minecraft.

I used to make texmods for Mass Effect 2 and 3, just re skinning armours, weapons, casual outfits etc. I use the expanded galaxy mod for ME3 which is awesome.

I use mods for Witcher 3, companion/follwer mods, hd texture mods, console enabler etc.

I've modded my hud in elite dangerous.

Use the far mod for Neir Automata.

Play the Elsweyr mod at all? Props to the team that did that 'cos they built several environments and added an entire questline which was damn cool.

The best mods I ever played were those for the old Neverwinter Nights game (now released in Enhanced Edition) which provided entire quests or campaigns for your character. I played hundreds of hours of fan created quests and it is still one of my favorite gaming experiences of all time.

For Skyrim I downloaded several mods which added NPCs to the game, some of which had their own voice acting, lots of dialogue, and attached quests. I am very fond of mods that add actual content to the game, rather than more equipment.

I've also used mods in Bioware games to open up the romance-ability of characters, since I very much enjoy the romance storylines but hate missing content because I play the wrong gender.

I only modded games in the old days via Hex editors to change the values of stuff in old D&D games like Champions of Krynn and old RTS like Dune.

Don't really play on pc anymore, but i remember the UT99 and Half-Life mod scene being awesome. I remember using Unreal4ever mod where you had weapons like a babydoll which you had to throw and it would be like a Nuke. And on Half-Life i remember the Scientist Slaughterhouse mod, where you had to kill the scientist in the most gruesome ways possible.

Also remember playing GTA Vice City Multiplayer. Man, mods can be so much fun.
