Are there actually any good phone games?
I was thinking about this. I finally bought my first real smart phone and realized I could use it for games. But I know that most of them are just cash shop games. Does anyone know of any real games that were made lovingly on smart phones? I know that there has to be at least one...somewhere.Tags: None

I played Summoner's War for a while. It was fun, and I never felt compelled to buy anything, so it was completely free for me. The two games I have on my phone now are Epic Seven and Shadowverse. They are both fun games, although I don't have enough time in them to state how unnecessary the microtransactions are. As of now, I still have fun for free.

X-Com Enemy Within is decent on phone. I also like Mini Metro and Plague Inc.

Skater app is probably my single favorite mobile game. In my opinion its probably the best skateboarding game since Skate 3. Trueskate is another skateboarding game on mobile, but I think Skater App is better.

They were initially released as mobile games, then ported to tablets and pc.

I only have three games installed on mine. They are all offline, polished and adequate for short breaks:
Osmos
Rayman Jungle Run
Sonic the Hedgehog

Whether you're a fan of the show or not, Stranger Things (based on the show) is actually a really well built game.
I was quite surprised with how good the game was to be honest and the best part is there isn't any microtransactions or anything.
I'd recommend checking it out regardless of your position on the show.

I haven't played these on the phone but if they are good ports, then I would have to recommend them.

glad to hear it. Don't do it on my account though, just if you feel like it. I would just like to encourage you to share what you find and or do should this be a path you go down.
