You can easily make a case that these threads are not the same thing. The rarest item in your collection is not always necessarily your favorite.
Keeping on topic, I can't say I know if any of my games are particularly rare. I heard Marvel vs Capcom 2 sells for a lot? I think one that qualifies as both (favorite and rarity) is my physical copy of Meteos, however. Last I checked, that's a very hard game to find now, and it's a damn shame because it's really good.
It is! I don't even remember if I ever used it, to be honest. If i did, it didn't make enough of an impression to store itself into my memory. But I was also never able to part with it just because of how unique it was even when it was still on the market.
Some of the old gaming stuff is with some family. I do have some NES "gold" cartridges of Zelda 1 and 2. Other than that my rarest games may be a few Playstation JRPGs: Suikoden 1 and 2 as well as Tales of Destiny 1 and 2. I may have a few other games that didn't see a big distribution, but I don't think they are as priced as high as those. I do also have Dragon Warrior complete with the guide-book and posted-map that came with it floating around somewhere, though they may be a little rough from use.
Hmm, i have a working Intellivision with about 25 games in a closet somewhere. Made damn sure to keep copies of all good Square SNES carts (Secret of Evermore anyone?). I still have most of my 16bit and 32bit collections. This includes a large 3DO game collection, but no working console.
Rare? Well I got those Resin(I know they ain't PVC) figure of Kid aka Schala of Chrono Cross/Trigger and those resin 1st release by Koto of FFVII Tifa, Aerith and Yuffie. SNES? I've got FFVI(aka FFIII), Chrono Trigger,Area 51(a Capcom side scrolling shooter), The 1st release JP FFVII without the enhancement.
Dood, I think I still have one of these laying around too.
Did you ever get a chance to use yours? I seem to remember that I tried using it at least once, but either I never connected or there wasn't anything there worth mentioning, because I have no actual memory of the service itself.

No, I never did. I believe the first time I was ever properly online with a console was Phantasy Star Online (which actually worked pretty well). I vaguely remember messing around with Sega Channel at one point.
