All right guys give your unbridled opinion of the new call of duty, I for one actually like it, the microtransactions don't bother me much since I refuse to buy anything other than the base game. I mainly just play multiplayer though. Anyone on here play it? Would love to make a team!

I loved it. Almost to 2nd Prestige already and developed a crush on Battery. All American beauty with a grenade launcher. Not so keen on Blackout or Zombies (to me, the best wave defense game is Killing Floor 2) though. Even loved Infinite Warfare and World War 2. I play on PC however.Whatever you love, I probably hate.

It's proven with religion that I am also the only one who plays CoD for their campaigns.Originally posted by Raggsvettma View PostI think it's proven with science that i am the only one who play CoD for their campaigns. Therefore Blops4 is the biggest lameout for me when it comes to CoD. #Reznovlives.
Anyway, I'm with you on most counts (Black Ops series didn't really do much for me, favourite games in the series being MW1/2).
Nothing compares to the futility of dragging your irradiated, chargrilled and par-boiled corpse a handful of metres before conking out...

How many COD games have you played? I think a good part of enjoyment in the game is if you are bored with the premise or not.Originally posted by CasualNinja1 View PostAll right guys give your unbridled opinion of the new call of duty, I for one actually like it, the microtransactions don't bother me much since I refuse to buy anything other than the base game. I used to like COD, now I'm tired of it. I've been playing off-and-on since the first game. It never innovates in any way that sticks in my mind, its the pop-music of FPS games. Fun in small doses from time to time, but nothing to take seriously.

I have played all of them, BO4 is great. But I'm partial to twitchy fps.Originally posted by Valkenr View Post

I personally think this is the worst Call of Duty I have played, not doing well in Zombies or Multiplayer compared to other entries in the past. The battle royale mode doesn't do anything for me either, a trend I wish would just go away, since it basically does what arena shooters of old did but significantly worse.
I'll start with multiplayer. Not a fan of a few things, mainly the press to win function of the operator equipment and ultimates, and the sheer uselessness of scorestreaks. I can't really complain about gun feedback (how hitmarkers feel) since that has more or less has been disappearing since Modern Warfare 2, and I feel like I've been shooting ghost bullets for years but it keeps annoying me all the time so I'm gonna keep complaining about it. The more modern mobility also makes the older maps feel alien and I wish they'd stop doing stuff like that. Black Ops used to be my jam and I should be running the joint on Firing Range, Jungle and Summit. WW2 did a better job of getting me to enjoy MP overall compared to AW, BO3, IW and BO4.
Zombies is so rerun as a co-op mode that I simply have lost interest in it. Ultimately the goal is to do all the easter eggs but it's all too easy to not give to care since they've added a whole fucking thesaurus of instructions to make it happen to create an illusion of longevity. Remember Kino der Toten? All you had to do was find the three meteor fragments, pump "115" for a few minutes, and you had basically won. Now you have to work to round 30 something to make shit happen in the most random as fuck ways. What an easy template to pump out lazy rehashable content. At least Extinction mode was a chance at some variety, and a wholly missed opportunity for Infinity Ward's next game afterwards which took place in a space opera.
Interestingly enough, the only good thing about Black Ops 4 was what may have been an actually decent campaign which ended up just being a few short videos in the character dossiers. It neatly lined out the plot and something enjoyable may have come out of that. I guess it's too bad Treyarch has given up making good games though."Video Games are hard" - Video Game Journalism being casual AF
