I've been trying to hide away from the new WoW content expansion for BFA

World of Warcraft - holy shit that game is all consuming!
I haven't played WoW for years, although i have started to crave playing it again! I really would like to return to it soon. That game, I would say, is the game I have put the most time into, especially in single sittings.
On the other hand, the games which have me hooked in the sense that I always return to them/ routinely revist for yet another playthrough are: Resident Evil 1 & 2, Dino Crisis 1 & 2 and a chronicly underrated gem named Sled Storm. These are the games which rarely leave my list of most frequently revisted titles.

Most Civilization games. Most Elder Scrolls games. If they didn't exist, I could get years of life back

once upon a time. It would have been World of Warcraft for me. But that time has past. Besides that, I do not really have any one game that I get hooked on indefinitely. I will find a good game (or series) that I will get hooked on for a while. And then for a few weeks, or sometimes months, I will spend 6-10 hours most days playing that game. But eventually I will inevitably move on to something else. Though I do keep going back to Borderlands...
Currently though, I am hooked on the Hyperdimension Neptunia series.

2200hrs on Guild Wars 1. Had it not been for a trip away with friends, I probably would never have stopped. Now it's Monster Hunter. Though I've probably spent just as much time across all the titles in the franchise, at least you can jump in and out anytime unlike in MMOs where you either keep up or fall behind.

It's strange, but I always go back and replay Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn back-to-back every year... other than that, I don't really get addicted to any one game and feel like I have to play it constantly. I always go from one game to the next, to the next... except for those two that I revisit.

Zelda BotW for me. And prior to that, Skyrim, as someone else had said. I just love exploration above all other things, including combat. That also means I am quite enjoying Fallout 76 while everyone else evidently hates it.

Every once in a while I throw in Rock Band for a while. Currently 4. I purchased a ton of music on 3 and it transferred. It's a fantastic game that's super addictive for a few days, then I come back to it again and again.

Can I ask for details as to what/why/how you were cozy for D1 but D2 made you quit? I recently tried out D2 base game because of the freebie (I haven't/didn't play D1 because of the expense of needing two PS4's and two copies of the game...I have a gaming pc so liek no. lol). An I admit the game felt very empty to me, even at a base game...the story felt lacking the characters I couldn't even relate to or attach to. Even for a squeal you should be able to capture late comers into your characters an story right? Or is that just me. (I admit I'm story oriented. I love to write an develop characters myself in stuff like fallout 4 and skyrim etc) D2 felt like Halo reskined honestly. The first promised over all idea sounded greater than the GW2 world I was drawn into and then how they release content nowadays(We get free content/story updates every 2-3months before a released xpac). But after playing D2 and having played GW2 for 6yrs Destiny's fallen shorter than the starter line to the promised idea, like no mans sky's universe promises but it was really a tiny marble of content, idea an development. =|Originally posted by Ryan View PostThe original Destiny had me from Alpha to Destiny 2. I spend something like 1,500 hours in it. Fortunately, D2 broke that cold turkey.

You can play it on your Android phone now.Originally posted by Mike View Post
This! Though I have had a very long break now though (maybe 5 years) since i began in 2002! Many hours spent mining the same rocks, running to the bank, and back to mine the rock again, during the supposedly prime years of my life..haha! The grinding was some kind of self punishment I guess. Always had the TV in the background though.. Too bad they kept releasing improvements faster than i could complete the quests/skills that already existed despite playing every day...man, I must have really sucked! Or was I the only one not using macros or hacking the game in some way... ?!

Playing pretty much any 4x game usually ends up with me having not slept for a full day. Not that I even particularly like 4x games compared to other stuff but somehow they're just super easy to waste tons of time on and to keep playing even when I'm feeling super tired.

Skyrim. I sometimes feel like playing it again but last time I did I ended up forgetting to eat or sleep.
