Star Wars on the Kinect, I think I legitimately suffered permanent brain damage from playing that "game".

Thief 2014. Sometimes I'm not actively remembering that it exists and then I'm reminded by the fact that I start wondering why the world doesn't seem like such a bad place all of a sudden. I've seen games that tried to do nothing and failed, Like Big Rigs. I've seen games that tried to do one thing well and failed, like Max Payne 3. Some games that tried to do everything and failed are the best games ever made, like Deus Ex 1. But there is only one game that tried to do everything wrong and succeeded. I refuse to believe that it was the result of incompetence. It's not possible to be so incompetent that you can avoid doing at least something accidentally right. It crosses the line where the fact that the game actually works, as in it runs properly is a negative thing. And believe it or not, even that aspect used to be even worse, since the main menu of the unpatched game ran at 3000fps and almost fried your GPU. Maybe it was trying to save us.

These kids nowadays have no idea of what a bad game is. E.T. is also the top on my list. My friend owned an Atari, and we played that game for a few days. 90% of the time climbing out of the hole.Originally posted by buckallmighty View PostEasily E.T. the extra-terrestrial on Atari.
My name is mayo is a close second place.

Me & My Girl's post jogged my memory about bad Atari console games. I can't say which one specifically was the worst. There was an awful PacMan clone. I had a Coleco Vision at the time with this adapter that would let you play Atari games, but most of them were @#$&. Two colors and giant blocky graphics. The Coleco games had sixteen colors I think and many more pixels.

Damnation for the Xbox 360. This game was weird. It was like it was trying to be a third person shooter and Prince of Persia. The story was nonsensical and filled with annoying platforming.
Classic Game Room HD reviews DAMNATION for Playstation 3, this game is also on Xbox 360 and PC. The PS3 version features trophies for Damnation and multiplay...

I know what they were trying to do, it's pretty obvious. The problem is that the execution of everything they were trying was beyond terrible. They tried to make Samus human and emphasis the whole "maternal" angle but ended up falling flat on their face while hitting you over the head with "THE BABY, THE BABY, THE BABY" constantly as if you didn't know what they were trying to get at. Most of what happened in Other M would have made more sense if the story was set before every other Metroid game and told the story of how Samus overcame her past trauma to become the badass bounty hunter we know her to be now.Originally posted by Verhoven 69The authors wanted to make Samus human, vulnerable and not just some badass ballz of steel Ripley clone. But given how it was rated Teen.....yup, painted itself into a corner, it wasn't really that bad. Maybe it there was a dual JP dub, it could have neutralized the sappy American dub.
On the gameplay, blame it on the forced use of the Wii mote by Nintendo. They didn't know whether to be 1st person or 3rd person. That part I agree with you. But kudos, it makes for an extremely niche collectible.
And yeah, I am aware of the whole ridiculous direction Yoshio Sakamoto took the control scheme and his intent with the game being more streamlined and "cinematic". Like I said before, the guy wanted to play out his fantasy of what Samus/Metroid is and not what the character and the series actually is to the rest of the world, especially outside of Japan where it is actually popular. Inside of Japan, not a whole lot of people care much about Metroid which is why they spent so long trying to come up with ways of showing Samus outside of her suit cause tits and ass show you're human *thumbs up*

100% I get what you said. Hence the like vote from me for this.
It really is frustrating but sometimes, its really a hit or miss in the implementation, gamewise or storywise (I'll pull this outta nowhere but FFVII and FFXIII's plotlines are almost a carbon copy but the latter really sucked in the implementation while the former got to big for its britches that the dropped the obvious 2nd option resurrection of you know who part and lets not get started with Xenogears)

Tomb Raider - Angel of Darkness
Controls are so bad that I can't even get past the tutorial. The game only works as a drinks mat.
and
FIFA 64
As N64 games go...it's worse than Superman. A migraine-inducing mess. I can't believe anyone who designed this game had either watched a game of football or played a video game before in their lives.

Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight.
This was the day I stopped buying EA products and also the day that make me hate the company with all my heart for what they did to the C&C franchise.
Quick summary of the game:
)> The story campaign was mediocre.
)> The leveling system is trash and slooooooooooooow.
)> Locked army units with leveling system on Skirmish mode is also a big no, NO.
)> DRM, always online just to play solo..
)> You no longer build buildings or harvest resources (the biggest blasphemy of this game).
)> Maps where boring.
)> This was meant to be a F2P game... Crazy right.
)> The nail in the coffin for C&C games.( ´・ω・`)_且~ Would you care to join me for a cup of tea?
Sips Tea Majeeeeestically!
