Luckinly this will definitely blowup in EA's face. It's actually laughable how naïve EA is at this point, do they actually think they get away with such a blatant bait and switch scam. They're not even trying to hide it, they're actually admitting such, It's so bazaar.

EA needs to come out with multiple high end games that are consumer friendly to a basically unheard of extent for EA to even hope about getting leeway, but EA is not only doing the opposite, they're basically doubling down(or is it quadrupling down at this point) on their anti consumer practices. It's so obvious now, even the no nothing sharholders have no faith in EA to deliver a successful game that's not called Fifa.
You're inventing a scenario where EA changes the microtransaction structure of Anthem after release and already accusing them of a bait and switch scam? Anthem has in-game cosmetic microtransactions that can be earned by playing the game and all DLC is free. How is that not "consumer-friendly?"

Again, I don't see EA doing anything to Bioware at this point. The demo is merely to get a feel for the game, progression aside. As it has been seen, Bioware had been extremely transparent, even more transparent than most companies out today, even showing current bugs and problems with the game in its current state.

Except Bioware is a dying company and they can't afford to lie or cause mistrust to gamers and fans. If they do, they are officially dead.

Agreed, In the community I am in, I already said that I would be reviewing the game for them in the most even sided way possible giving both good and bad. Keeping EA completely out of the picture.

Its a matter of time. I dont trust anyone in business. If Anthem falls hard, you dont think EA will pressure for more microtransactions? not just cosmetic? This is EA.
First of all, Activision never owned Bungie. They didn't dictate in-game microtransactions. That's all Bungie. I don't think that "well it WOULD have happened because Activision bad!" is a very good argument.

As for Fallout 76, did they ever come out and promise cosmetic only microtransactions like Bioware has done for Anthem?

They have consistently said it will be cosmetic only. If EA forced other microtransactions in the game it would die a swift death. Why don't we judge games based on the game itself instead of EA Bad! and Activision Bad! It's tinfoil hat nonsense.

Do you have any example of precedence of EA doing something like this or are you just jumping on the hate-wagon?

On the note of the Bungie thing, all they've had was cosmetic mtx's. Changing the game to be more mtx focused would have been shut down instantly seeing how Bungie had been trying to rebuild reputation. And them splitting would not have changed much. Now people would be willing to put more money toward Bungie because it isn't Activision that is getting the money.

While I understand your point, this post was mainly used to correct inaccuracies that was said. As such, this still falls in line with a post not being political and being strictly about the game in question.

I don't see how it's different than nearly any other demo at all. It's like saying the RE2 demo doesn't represent the full game because the full game doesn't have a 30 minute time limit....
