Worst video game fanbase

So I saw a thread in the RPG section post by Last_Dragoon asking what the worst RPG fandom was, and I started to wonder what people would think if we expanded that to all video games. So what do you guys think is the most toxic video game fanbase you know of.

For me it's two.
The Sonic fanbase, which are consistently at each others throats on what makes a good Sonic game and I think Sega has no idea what game to make because whole fanbase is split up so much.

The second one that I found has been pretty toxic lately is the Dragon Ball fanbase ever since Dragon Ball FighterZ was released (It could have been like this before, but I didn't really notice too much), you have people praising it as if its the best game ever and attacking people who have a different opinion or those who think it sucks and say Xenoverse is the best and also attack others for different opinions. Heck the FighterZ fanbase can't even get along, because you have people wanting certain characters added, while others complain that it would be a wasted character slot. Then you even have people fine with paying $4.99 each for base Goku and Vegeta as DLC which should have been characters that were already included into the game. The Dragon Ball fanbase when it comes to games is really split lately, and it's sad because I really like those games and it really gives them a bad reputation.

League of Legends fanbase is pretty toxic. On the opposite end of the spectrum is the Destiny community.

The COD fanbase is fairly bad. Even though i am a Metal Gear fan, some members are absolutely terrible when it comes to criticism. I don't particularly care for the Final Fantasy base.

Don’t get me started on the FNAF fanbase. To me, they’re as toxic as they get.

And yeah, the CoD fanbase is pretty toxic too.

I have to agree with this, I played Rust for quite a while and I've never seen more toxicity in my life... people are just malicious and evil on their own, the game doesn't reward you for killing other players, if everyone worked together it would be more rewarding, people just turn evil and malicious all on their own. I mean if you try to play as a nice guy when people are weaker than you they are pleasant but will attempt to take you out the moment they feel they can.

Fans of the Warhammer franchise. No batter how bad the game is, how short of promises it falls or rushed the final product, the fandom will attack anyone who criticises the games no matter how obvious the criticism. If you do not give a 10/10 score in any sort of review or commentary then prepare to avoid your inbox for the next week.

What I saw of GT I thought was ok at best. As you said there is a lot wrong with it but I don't think it's the worst thing ever created.

CSGO the fanbase I like to ignore due to being so toxic lol. I stopped playing CSGO many years ago due to the sheer amount of amount of toxic garbage.

Worst video game fanbase that is a really tough question with many worthy of that title. Fanbases can overall be pretty toxic but to me the worst fanbase in my personal experience would be the total war fanbase. They don't like it when you call out CA's blatant laziness and money grabbing habits as seen with the long term decline of total war games especially seen since empire.
