  • Best games to vent frustration and /or relieve stress

In my opinion games are right up there with punching bags and a cold bottle of Samuel Adams in regard to things that can help you vent frustration or relieve stress. What are the games that helped you take the edge off after a stressful day at work, a hard night of studying, or a bad breakup? No genre restrictions and any game past or present will work. For me it is the following:

God of War (ps2) - When I was sick off people's crap

A simple game of solitaire on my desktop - great for breaks in between intense study sessions in college

Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction - when I was mad at the world in general and wanted to destroy everything around me while surfing on a crushed bus

megaman zero 1 for gba is a game I frequently go back to along side astro boy for the gba when I wanna blow some steam. Devil may cry is also a great choice in my opinion! 🤗

I usually go for a walk around town just thinking about life and stuff when I want to relieve stress. In FFXIV.

Power fantasies are great for venting.

Great game to mess around without a care.

Animal Crossing. Or really anything laid back to kind of unwind.

Venting frustration? Anything with a lot of explosions. Maybe a COD campaign. Or good old fashion Halo 2 or 3. Oh. Borderlands. Back when you could mod guns hehehe.

Stardew Valley, there is something oddly soothing in running around frantically collecting starfruits and placing them in a keg.

I can't seem to play games when stressed. I'd rather figure out how to not be stressed or address whatever is stressing me out. If there is nothing I can do about the situation though, then I'll probably just blow up robots in Mechwarrior Online.

I may be alone here, but... I don't play video games to relive stress or get a fix from an addiction. That shit seems bonkers to me.

Fair enough. To each their own.

Flower on PlayStation is such a simple game and easy game. When I played it, it was the most relaxing thing I've ever played. It's like a video game lullaby.
To bad all my PS3 controllers don't work or I would be playing it more often to just to calm me down.
If you like me, that's great! If you hate me, that's cool, just don't hide it.
