Metro Exodus all the way!
I LOVE the Metro games and i have read all three Metro novels. I was deffinetly surprised to hear they were making a sequal and I can't wait to get back into post apocalyptic Russia. Besides that i would say cyberpunk and Doom

Cyberpunk 2077 if it releases in 2019 is the clear winner. After that, I think for me it's going to be a question of if Anthem manages to be good or not. If it is, then great, it gets the slot! If it isn't, then Mechwarrior 5 is my big ticket hopeful.
The likely bust I'm hoping I'm wrong about is Anthem, likely victim of publisher interference. One game project (however doomed it might have been) already died trying to see this to fruition. The 'new' Bioware has this one chance to build their own legacy by beating the odds, long as they are. I hope they do.The Once and Future DM of many table top games. As side from the obvious (Cyberpunk 2077, doubt it'll be released in 2019) I'd have to say it's easily Metro Exodus. Plenty of others I'm interested in (RE2, Last of Us 2, Days Gone, Devil May Cry 5) but the Metro series is criminally underrated.
Biggest bust? I'd have to say is anything EA or BioWare related. Politics aside (haha, duh) their games just aren't good anymore. And I mean this in a design/technical way (BioWare) and a monetization way (EA in general).

Either Doom Eternal or Daemon X Machina. Honestly I love Armored Core to bits, but the absolute lack of any AC related news has me completely ready for DXM. Dragon: Marked For Death is looking fantastic too, honestly.
Biggest bust... well, Anthem might be a fun trainwreck, at least? Can't say most Western games appeal to me nowadays, I just have trouble trusting most companies here.

Cyberpunk 2077 if it lives up to all the hype could get game of the year.
Anthem may do well on its initial sales, however I cant imagine people will stick with it for long. the flying around the game world looks fun but would get boring after a while, the world itself like most open worlds will probably be barren and I have doubts that the story is any good. I know its Bioware but their latest games have had a poor story. The old Bioware is dead. They used to be my favorite company with Mass Effect 1 and 2, KOTOR, etc. a Bioware developer even said he was pleased he was working on a game that focuses more on gameplay than story, an immediate red flag right there.

Ooh didn't know about Warcraft 3 remake! Sounds great, very interested in it.Originally posted by MrE View PostWell, Blizzard did say that Warcraft III Reforged will be released "on or before December 31 2019", so I guess that might count as "next year" lol Defiantly looking forward to that.

The only new game in 2019 I´m looking forward is Cyberpunk 2077.
Hold my money back from the triple AAA in 2019, they need a little starving, that they learn the lesson from 2018.
Still got a HUUUUGE backlog of good games, could go 2+ years without buying anything.
Update:
Just got wind about WorldWar3 ... maybe.. just maybe.

I looking foward for Dead or Alive 6. The game really has won me over and I won't lie that series has always put me off because it gave me the impression it was more focused on fan service rather than gameplay(Looking at you Soul Calibur 6) but, after looking at a lot of video's and playing Dead or Alive 5 I feel I didn't give the game a fair shake. Dead or Alive 5 still plays very well in 2018. So I'm pretty hyped for this game now I really hope it can make me a long term fan. As for my second game it doesnt have a date set for 2019 officially but from what I read it looks like its a safe bet it will release by then and that is Metriod Prime 4 Oh boy! I remember playing both Metriod Prime 1 and 2 on the GameCube. Then Metriod Prime 3 released for the Wii and I got a Wii just to play this game so you better believe I'm getting a Switch just to play Metriod Prime 4.

I'm super hyped for Cyberpunk 2077. I just love the entire cyberpunk/sci-fi genre, and it seems like this will be the game i've been waiting for my entire life. Just coming off Witcher 3 and the first expansion, i'm confident that CDPR will deliver an absolute beast of a game. Other than that, i'll be looking forward to Division 2, The Outer Worlds, The Last of Us2.
