Anthem will be the biggest bust looks about as fun as watching paint dry.

Looking forward to The Outer Worlds and Cyberpunk 2077
Fallout 76 may finally go bust(or may go free to play) maybe sometime next year, but first Bethesda need to milk the cow over Xmas, too unknowing parents. They'd even try milking a Turkey if they could.
Also any new games made by Activition Blizzard, EA and Ubisoft because of the Microtransations
Sorry for being general, but games wern't like they used to be, back in my day...

Division 2, if they've learned their lesson from the first game and don't regress to a worse, state like Destiny 2 release compared to Destiny 1 year 2, then I may have a fun looter shooter I can play with friends like a year after Division 1's release.
Borderlands 3, if all the talk is true, a group of four friends vault hunting with so much loot you'll be disgusted by generic upgrades if they don't have a special perk to them.
Anthem will certainly be the biggest bust, although there was an alpha I could do a game review on the dev's state of the game alone and break it down to the substandard, shallow and water down to appeal to a mass audience cash grab it will be. The current talent at Bioware are struggling and this game reeks of professional coders, artist, and musicians who are talented but don't play or understand games well enough to make players want to engage by their own enjoyment factor not because it's so they can just finally move on to the next encounter.
My hopeful is Cyberpunk 2077, though its a story game it's not linear like the mass effect series as far as choices giving you a different angle of the story and hopefully unlike mass effect these choices will actually change the story entirely on your journey to the end goal. My only gripe here was striping out the multiplayer, this could have been a great cooperative game with friends and even better if they would have added a DM type mode to get the pen and paper feel with setting up campaigns or just simply having the DM play certain important figures during you and your friends campaign for play made content that would be unique.
I look for games I can play with friends for a decent amount of time, with that said story driven games I beat I'll never play again so I won't be looking all that forward to the one and done play style they promote an notable mention for this style would be Kingdom Hearts 3.

Yay:
Bayonetta 3, well at least I hope it finally comes out next year.
Nay:
Travis Returns or whatvere it's called, I love No More Heroes 1&2 and really want a 3rd one, but this spin off looks bad, everytime I see gameplay of it I feel absolutely no desire to play it, I don't care if Suda won't make a real 3rd game if this doesn't sell, I don't buy garbage I don't want.Hail Kizuna Ai

If I don't include games without a release date, my most anticipated so far would be the Crash Team Racing remake, Vesperia remaster, and KH3.
I do want to be excited about Star Wars: Jedi fallen order, and I do think Respawn can make a good game... but EA...
Biggest bust definitely Anthem.

Just games or also DLC/Addons for games?
(I mean addon sized DLCs)
I play a few games where the core engine is updated free of charge, but they have addons that you can buy.
Some of my most anticipated are either out on early access or might come out this year.......or not.
Most anticipated:
DCS F-14 (Tomcat, baby!)
DCS World Addon might come out this year.
Assetto Corsa Competizione
Cyberpunkt 2077 (Would like to add it but that backlog of games....)
Stainmore Route addon for Train Simulator 2018 (made by Steam Sounds supreme, quality stuff.) http://stainmorerouteproject.blogspo...nal-boxes.html
Victoryworks GWR 57XX Pannier Tanks
Mechwarrior 5
IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Bodenplatte (Bodenplatte was the final offensive operation of the Luftwaffe on the Western Front on January 1945)
Dirt Rally 2.0 (the first one was great for all it's shortcomings.)
Busts
Probably Anthem, EA has ticked off to many players.
Far Cry 5
Sadly if PGI (Piranha Games) keeps being PGI I could see even MW5 going south.
I have played MWO a lot and PGI has had the unbelieveable ability to mess up even the things the community tought were un-upmessable, like Solaris 7.
The most popular Battletech content ever, but no one plays the Solaris 7 mode in MWO.
HBS Battletech might fail if Paradox doesn't fix the issues that are still there, and keeps trouncing on the lore.
Trainz 2019, Auran has a history of overpromising and underdelivering.

Most anticpated: Doom Eternal.
Ever since I first played Doom at the age of 4 (5?) back in the 90s, that angry little man on the screen has held a special place in my heart. Every time the Doom series is on the table, I kick my hype for anything else that onto the floor. Based on the gameplay we've seen, Doom Eternal looks to exactly what I wanted from a follow-up to Doom 2016. I just hope the PvP arena multiplayer, if they include it, is styled more like Quake and less like Call of Duty (basically, just ditch the custom classes and put weapons on the map).
Most likely to be a bust: Anthem
I don't really have much to say about this. Visually the game looks fine but I can't shake that feeling of how much it reminds me of Destiny. I don't want the game to fail, but I don't have a lot of hope for it either. It would be nice for Bioware to surprise me and release an undeniably kick-ass cooperative rooty-tooty loot-n'-shooty experience that washes the bad taste of Destiny out of our mouths.Last edited by RedHawkDirewolf; 12-17-2018, 12:47 AM.
