The game I'm anticipating the most right now is Hytale. It's just the beta that will be coming out though. I'm interested to see if the developers actually have what they've advertised.

Right now my most anticipated is probably Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen (I'm an MMO junkie). Kinda looking forward to Days Gone and the Resident Evil 2 remake and Cyberpunk 2077. Atlas also looks promising.
As for the biggest bust...100% Mass Effect: Andromeda. My favorite game series is the original Mass Effect trilogy. Andromeda was just terrible. The gameplay was decent enough, but the writing, story, and characters were god awful. Much of what made the original trilogy great was diluted to nothing. The choices in dialogue were made generic, where there were more options (many the same really) but they removed the paragon and renegade system. Choices did very little. Where in the original Mass Effect trilogy, or just the first game alone, you could make choices that would result in the life or death of minor characters as well as major characters. Other decisions could have various effects on the universe and the people within it spanning all 3 games. Andromeda on the other hand, very little of your choices affected anything even over that single game.
Now if you meant biggest upcoming bust, I'll have to go with a few others here and say Anthem. Maybe I'm wrong, but I see this writing on the wall. Destiny and The Division were both MMO-lite games like Anthem. They all share this sort of design. And they'll share the same sort of problems. Folks will rush out to play at launch and there will be much disappointment. I'll be happy to eat crow if I'm wrong, but BioWare hasn't exactly been BioWare in recent years.Last edited by Tuklofeign; 12-17-2018, 03:29 AM.

I totally agree with you about Mass Effect. Mass Effect 1-3 have become a huge part of my life and no other game has fascinated and changed me like this. No other game could ever have this influence on me and certainly not Andromeda. Gameplay-wise Andromeda was good to very good, but the story and characters, my God, what a nightmare. I can't even remember the name of a character. As for Anthem, I don't have a good opinion about it. The only game where Bioware is still Bioware is SWTOR.

Most anticipated game for me right now is definitely Ashes of Creation. I played wow since The Burning Crusade and MMORPG's made me into a gamer, but seeing the direction WOW is heading in I quit a while ago. I'm hoping Ashes of Creation will be able to replace what WOW once was, before it was murdered by Activision-Blizzard.
Biggest bust IMO is probably going to be Anthem. The only thing I need to see before making this prediction is EA's name on the game. They have a unique talent of taking games with potential and murdering them.

I am very much looking forward to the Resident Evil 2 remake. I know nostalgia if probably a large influence on my choice and my anticipation for this game, but from what I've seen of the game play and the over-all look, it's nice to see the series going back to the old formula of Survival Horror and the over the shoulder POV. Gives me a chance to oogle Leon as much as I want!

Borderlands 3 is my most anticipated game of next year even if it does'nt come out and if it doesnt... well shit there is a whole lot of awesome games comming out next year from Doom Eternal to Cyberpunk 2077. I kind of feel spoilt for choice this year.
If Anthem isnt the biggest bust of the year i swear i wont bust a nut for the rest of said year!.

So far my most anticipated game for 2019 is Ace Combat 7. As a huge fan of fighter jets since I was a kid (I grew up in a Naval Base community), I have always loved jets. In fact, when I heard there is going to VR for this game, I ran out and bought a VR headset yesterday in anticipation of AC7 and getting to experience what it truly is like to fly a jet without leaving the ground. Besides, I am a huge fan of the series.
Biggest bust though? I am calling it now: the new Far Cry 5 sequel shown a couple of weeks ago. Far Cry series is so meh, except for Primal, that I think it is going to be average at best. However, it really is too soon to tell what I think will be the biggest bust for 2019. Come back to me in July or August.
