Probably none because there is a high probability of them shoehorning microtransactions into it. :P

If it can be done without the game being violated by corporate greed then I'd probably go with Recettear.

IMO, we could go for a remake of the old TES games. That, and perhaps the original Rayman games.
Holy shit, i completely forgot about Rayman, this above all else

Apart from that I don't know, Vib-Ribbon maybe.

C&C 4. That game still gives me nightmares. I want it remade in a classic RTS style, with building elements.

Metal Gear Solid 1, hands down.

Top down action stealth is a dead genre nearly except for titles like Mr. Shifty and I wanna see more.

As for a 'remake' from a similar time period as RE2, I'd love to see Xenogears given some love as long as they finished the game off properly. I absolutely loved that game but the second disk will always leave a sour taste in my mouth.
Yea for sure. Capcom has to be happy with the reception RE2 Remake has been getting sosfar, it only makes sense to do the 3rd game. Like you said, most of the assests are already made.

Xenogears is a good one too. I love Tetsuya Takahashi

I'd love to see a modern version of Raptor: Call of the Shadows . Yes, a MS-DOS game. It was a great top down shooter from when I was a kid and it's basic premise lends itself to modern design techniques for progression and development over multiple runs. Plus, you could do such a remake to much lower GFX standards then most and it'd be perfectly fine. Think something on the level of Contra: Shattered Soldier, not something recent. (Better is generally better, but doing this part cheaply means more money on other things.) The idea of making a bigger version of Raptor, with substantial upgrades to your plane and multiple weapon upgrade options (side grades my friend, they're great!) and the option to take any of a vastly expanded missions in the order you like would, I think, make for a great revival of a title that has resonance with people but is also relatively cheap to do. Meaning your bar for profitability is lower and odds of success vastly higher. It'd be a niche title and as long as the dev team went into it with realistic goals you could get it done inside of 3 years for a low cost and sell it on a budget, then if the success warrants it, start selling expansion packs.

    Hexen!

Imagine if it got the Doom Treatment, slinging spells, swinging axes, obliterating demons and goblins and whatnots.

    Would be terrific!

    Make it PSVR, happy man

I would create a really old Dungeon Crawler game called Dungeon Master.

It was a puzzle like adventure game where you have to retrieve the Fire Staff and enfuse it with the power gem to merge Lord Order and Chaos together again to save the world.

It was just a dungeon crawl game, but it could so be turned into a full RPG where you could really delve into the philsophy of the game with lots of conversations between the two of them as both entice you to work with them instead of the other and therefore having three possible endings, choosing Order, choosing Chaos, and choosing balance and reintegration.

Two games I kick myself for missing out in their glory days were Fallout 1/2 and Jadded Alliance 1/2. FO doesn't need remade, just a good top down clone would be nice. Would love to see JA2 brought up to modern visuals and bug free on a modern PC. I know it has continued under fan development but I have mixed feelings on that.

I bought the PS1 after thumbing through the guidebook for Parasite Eve 1. Looking back, the only real compliant I can remember is that some of the combat and levels were so short. But the atmosphere, the score and those cut scenes were good stuff.
Working...
