I've been playing a lot of AdventureQuest Worlds, recently. It just had it's 10th anniversary, and now that I'm an adult I've been wanting to go back and finish playing some of the older online games from years ago.
Mechwarrior Online. It's a small, dying game run by an incompetent company with a dwindling player base and non-existent e-sport/streaming presence, but I still somehow find myself playing it. There hasn't been a proper mechwarrior game in decades, and COD/CSGO style shooters just don't do it for me. I've been searching for a game that holds my interest since the beginning of this year, but nothing seems to stick like Mechwarrior does. I love GW2 also, but I don't have a guild or time for it so all end game content is blocked for me. The fatal flaw in all MMO titles is you can't play them by yourself. I can't just log on for an hour or two and have fun. Gotta set up a whole group of people to do anything meaningful.
Pokemon: Let's go Eevee, HoTS, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and just going through some of my older games a little at a time.
HoTS you mean Heroes of the Storm? I have about 600 hours in that game. What is your opinion on how they're changing all heroes to play the same and removing the Specialist sub-class? This is what permanently pushed me off this game. Specialists and playing positionally and having a solid strategy on how to handle enemy fortifications was what made this game different from LoL and DotA.
I personally think it is an massive mistake to try and make it more like LoL and DotA. I mean - HotS will never steal fans away from LoL and DotA, but by being different (and maybe "smarter"), it grew its own fanbase, I played it from the first beta, and the first 2 years with this game were AMAZING. But now it's all just team fights, team fights, team fights, team fights. It's like playing an arcade, and the game used to be so focused on thinking about lanes and timing your pushes.
What is your take on that?
I've been playing FFXIV, DragonQuest XI, Diablo 3, MineCraft (don't hate me), and I like to randomly play new demos to try out games.
What do you play in D3? Seasonal, non-seasonal, both? What is your main hero? I reached GR85 with an off-season whirlwind barbarian, and the game was fun, but after 5 years with no graphics update, i get more and more nauseated watching those low-res textures. Running ReShade with a specific set of sharpening, color and AA filters made it bearable, but when the whole Blizzcon thing happened, I just uninstalled and haven't looked back since. If they release a 4K texture pack, I'll probably go back.
Playing Pokemon Let's Go Eevee but the only thing I'm doing right now is leveling up all of my Pokemon (and I mean ALL but Mew and Melmetal) to do the post game stuff, while watching some stream or whatever. But honestly I will stop doing that once I get Smash Bros Ultimate as I have to break my 60+ Chansey catch chain to play Smash that currently nets up to 90k EXP.
Also started playing Darksiders Warmaster Edition on PS4, I plan to build a gaming PC around january and I want to get Darksiders III for PC then, but since I already own 1&2 on PS4 from a Humble Bundle I decided to replay them (I played them on the 360 on release) to get back into the lore and stuff.
mostly on my phone now, really hard to zone out on my pc when i got a newborn.
star wars galaxy of heroes
dragon ball legends
marvel strike force
on my pc, i got the following waiting to be played.
BATTLETECH
Diablo 3
Divinity Original Sin 2
Grim Dawn
Path of Exile
Pillars of Eternity
Stellar Tactics

In D3 I play all the classes lol xD. My mains are Whirlwind Barbarian with Wastes (I didn't enjoy the support barb build with Raekor), and a Meteor Channeling Wizard with Firebird. Both of those are off season. I know most people are sold on the Demon Hunter but I just never really got into that one. I've got paragon into the 700s. I do have a couple that were season characters, but I didn't get into achievement collecting. I just play it casually with a couple of friends. We jump on whenever we want to do some mindless dungeon crawling. We play GRs in the low 60s.
Hearing about Diablo Immortal and NOT Diablo 4 was a little disheartening, I agree. But I'll be honest, I enjoy the story lines from all the blizzard games and if Immortal continues that story line, I'll probably end up playing it just for that lol.

Wow, we have such similar playstyles! I'm Paragon 994 and played Firebird Wizard at first, but went on to WW + Wastes Barb Tried Crusader, but it lacks any playable tank build, so I just gave up on it.
Have fun, bro! Hopefully I'll come back to that game, but I don't see it happening without some attention paid to it by Blizzard.
Grinding Fallout 76 at least trying to - when it is working. When I get bored with that I drop into Borderlands 2 for a while - or replay Half Life 2 and its add ons. A lot to be said for games that are old, but very, very stable.
