What is your favorite game?

My Favourite game would be Warhammer 40k Dawn of War and its first two expansions, I was not a fan of Soulstorm or the first Deadspace. its a hard choice for me lol.

My favorite game, or game series has to be the Yakuza series. Mainly for the fact I'm a huge weeb and it hits every sweet spot that I want I'm a video game. RPG grinding mechanics? YUP. Useless, but fun mini games? YUP a story line to rival the works of Kojima? Probably not, but pretty close. Yakuza's story line was convoluted as fuck. Kiryu was a taxi driver in the 4th game? Okay? Yet, the game play is always spot on. Every Yakuza game is fun to play. They all have a uniqueness to them that makes them a blast to play. There's a QTE in one of them that involves a pantie thief, and you have to take pictures of certain moments of his graceful bally of thievery of the wamen underwear... It's fucking great. Everyone should play these games.

For free to plays, Its hard to not put Path of Exile first just from the amazing work the developers pull every 3-4 months consistently since launch but Warframe is equally up there when it comes to that. (Impossible to compare these two , they aren't even the same genre but they both deserve every bit of praise they can get)

As for paid games, I'm quite in love with Dark souls 2: SotFS currently.

So many, but if I had to pick an all time favorite it would be Xenogears, followed closely by Suikoden 2. But the games in this thread are really good. I don't want to make a 40 game list.

Borderlands 2 has to be my favourite game of all time (so far). Everything just comes together in this game to make it one of the best to play with friends or by yourself to have a laugh and just have some fun.

Anyone else hyped for Borderlands 3?

Super hyped. Loved BL2, but BL:TPS didn't grab me at all, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

Mass effect 2 is my favorite game of all time. Mass effect 2 was just amazing graphics at the time where top Imo story was absolutely enthralling and the cast and crew honestly made me feel things I never have felt for fake nonreal people.

For me currently, it's Warframe hands down. Never have I ever been so spoiled as a fan of a multiplayer game. Not ot mention that the PVE scene is perfect for my preference of games. Alsp the cherry on top is that I lose nothing quitting this game. Where it'll always be waiting for me if I ever do leave it.

for retro games, it'll have to be Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, on the Super Ninetendo: Classic. What a classy game for me to pick up as my first ever video game touched and played at 5 years old.

Only for me to finally beat the game when I became 15 years old. On the remastered N64 3d version, closely followed by Majora's Mask.

Sigh....what a beautiful age for gaming at the time. Or as older gamers consider it, the golden age of video games. When games were cheaper to make, consoles ran for hours on end, and everything and everyone was focused on the fun. The real gaming experience.

Probably Fire Emblem Fates Conquest. The story is hilariously bad, but I personally love everything else about it and have beaten the game like 4 times.

Retro, I"m a Megaman and Metroid guy. Modern I"m a huge fan of Fallout. I also love the original Mass Effect Trilogy to death. Online only, I really don't play much outside Overwatch.
