Games/Game Series that need to “die”

What game series do you think should be put to rest?
This can be ongoing games with updated content (League of Legends, Arma)

or

Game Series that have overstayed their welcome in the cultural/monetary zeitgeist. (Gears of War, Street Fighter, Forza)

Try and stay away from easy targets (Battlefront, FIFA, Call of Duty almost any EA game) as they are uninteresting or mobile games as that can be a separate discussion.

Some of these franchises need at least a break. A few like CoD, and now Battlefield deserve a little more effort into them too. The 2/3 year cycle these games are on does them no good, and as soon as they start to get good, they're abandoned by players in favor of the newest one, or devs who need to start on the next one.

None to be honest, i may not like some franchises but they have their fans and i wouldn't want anyone to miss out on something they like.

COD needs to be put to rest. My fav cod was cod4 mw, me2 was good too. But jesus how many are there? Give it up already.

I am personally not a big fan of Forza anymore. I was a big fan back when Forza Motorsports 3 came out but now they keep making Forza Horizons and I just feel that it is too much. I miss the good old days when me and my friends would race our neon pink and green VolksWagen Rabbits on a NASCAR speedway for 50 laps. While I love the scenery of Europe, I am not the biggest fan of the open world car series outside of the original Burnout Paradise.

Fortnite as the game, and battlefield as the series

... Final Fantasy. But with a catch: one final epic that would document the fall of the FF universe (yeah I know most of the FF games are not connected). No gameplay, just text/reading with each of the 20 chapters offered as a DLC! Devilish laughing.

The only thing I can think of is Assasins Creed, that story needs to finish or reboot already. Other than that I cant think of anything off the top of my head.
There are some series I personally hate but other people like so I wouldn't want them to die.

Mass Effect but that already happened. Just hope they're not going to renew it just to ruin it again. Battlefield. Anything really that strayed away from the original idea towards bland money-grubbing philosophy. I feel more about this kinda topic if it's about books and movies, not so much about video games tbh. Maybe WoW? Purely because of the butchered lore.
