Since every gaming forum eventually gets one of these, i will start it off. I have been searching for this game for almost a year now with no luck.
Theres this PC game i played in the (probably) early 2000s, it came in one of those "X gaming demos" discs. The game was what i can only describe as a third person 3d toy robot fighting game. The closest game to its kind that i can think of is Armored Core (for the PS1, not sure how the more modern games look and play).
You would select your toy robot (in the demo, i belive you would only be able to select the "tin-can" model) and you would fight other robots in diverse 3d household scenarios. The maps were quite huge for a simple 1v1 (maybe other modes were avaiable in the full version?).
You could go around exploring, getting power ups, guns, etc but the whole objective of the game was to kill your oponent (the game had both yours and the enemy's healthbars on display, like a normal 2d fighting game.
Can anyone help me out fiding the name for this game?
The "Toy Tin Can" robot looked kinda similar to this:

Haha, LBA is one of my favorite games of all time. Even used of its themes/soundtrack in my graduation ceremony :P
Heck, hearing the main menu theme makes me start tearing up with nostalgia
Glad you managed to remember the game, if you never finished it, its never too late to do so!

I have tried reddit (but not this one you sugested, will check it out) and many other old game sites, never managed to get someone to guess the game right.Originally posted by Noobc0re View PostHave you tried the tipofmyjoystick reddit?
Any other details you remember about the game?
I remember you had "boss" robots, one particular comes to mind, where the whole fight would take place in a leaky and dark attic. I do belive the "better" robots were more mecha-like, while the "worst" robots were a bit more like proper "toys".
I also remember a single bed Bedroom map and a living room map (the largest one, i think).
Another thing is that the basic robot (the one i put a image of) had this rather pathetic melee attack if you didint want to equip a weapon. In the animation he would swing his tiny arms back and fourth and a metal squeeking noise (like an unoiled arm joint) would be heard.
The only other memories i have of it is that it came on blue CD and it also had Sonic 3 And Knuckles on it. But since its a brazilian demo CD, i dont have much hopes of anyone knowing said CD.
Sadly i dont... the idea that this game never had a actual "full" release has come to my mind... but i hope thats not the case. Robo Pit has the same idea as this mysterious game of mine, but imagine large maps (if you ever played the Counter Strike "Rats" maps, it is similar in scope) and the whole toy robot in a house schtick.Originally posted by Musou Tensei View PostThe only game I can think about is Robo Pit, but that was only on PS1 and Saturn. If it was on a demo disk are you sure it was ever released in a full version?

If anyone ever played the Airfix Dogfighter game, its basically that style of graphics, but instead of airplanes, its Toy Robots.Last edited by br4zil; 12-17-2018, 05:53 AM.
