Anything FPS is a plus for me and from the looks of it we'll be getting our fair share of amazing shooters this year.
Dying Light 2
Metro Exudos
Rage 2
Doom Eternal
Cyberpunk 2077
GTFO
Serious Sam 4
Wolfenstein Young Blood
Atomic Heart
Witch Fire (maybe?)
Borderlands 3 (oh please let it be this year)

The genre isn't exactly defined, but I'd love to see more range based fighting games where the focus is to dodge enemy projectiles while hit opponents with your own, like ARMS, Kid Icarus: Uprising and some indie titles.
I'm really hoping the genre becomes something eventually

Deconstructed twin stick shooter was the first answer I had for that. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

There are a few bullet hell pvp games, platformer 2d pvp shooters and dodge ball style games where you may or may not be stuck to one side while launching a projectile (usually have 2d ground mobility, but rarely can jump, although you can usually dodge).

I've done a fair bit of research as you can tell probably tell (lol) and plan on making a video on the subject some day, hopefully.

IL2:Battle of "X" and Digital Combat Simulator (by the developers of the Flanker series, Lock on Modern Air Combat, BlackShark, and A-10C, etc.) are still going strong on PC.Originally posted by Silent Goddess View PostI'd like to see more proper flight sim games, i love Ace combat but it's pretty watered down compared to things like IL-2 Sturmovik

I've had an itch for more dialogue heavy and choice based RPGs. I say that because nowadays it seems like the only RPGs are action based whatevers with a milk toast talent system and dialogue trees that don't get more interactive than yes or no. I enjoy the true sandbox nature RPGs where story is influenced by player interaction. I liked New Vegas for this... A LOT. I remember finding ED-E my first play through and not knowing how to fix him, I ignored the robot. So when the end credits arrived I was actually surprised to see him mentioned. I want more games like that in 2019 please
