I like to see some more “Survival” games such like Alien: Isolation, but instead of horror it’s action. Since it is Christmas time, a John McClane “Die Hard” Nakatomi Plaza “Survival” game done really well with all the nuances and grace that only John McClane can deliver.

It really would be cool to do everything from John’s perspective, sneaking around in vents, getting info from Carl Winslow, finding the detonators, shoot the glass, and facing off against Karl again in a well done Survival version. Happy trails Hanz.

Not really concerned with genre specifically long as its not racing or sports. I'd take almost any hybrid that offers RPG elements of character, character abilities, and gear progression. Preferably in the action oriented game-play style, I know a few are in the pipe line but a few look all hype train no substance.

I love this question. Personally, I would love to see Arkane break away from Bethesda with a big middle finger held to the sky, work on Prey 2 for most of 2019, and release it late 2019. Obviously, this is probably a pipe dream. I do not know what the legal repercussions of such an action would be, but I am willing to wager it would violate copyright law (such BS, I know, since Bethesda cancelled the series and doesn’t intend to do anything with it), but still… it would be nice to get a good game like that — something the cold, huddled masses of Bethesda’s former fandom could cluster around like a fire.

I agree fully. I feel like most open world games don't fill the worlds enough to make them worth exploring. Most of the time is just spent running around empty space.

RPGs for me. They naturally hold my interest longer than other games, although I wouldn't mind a couple decent management and strategy games along the way.

Honestly I'm hoping that open world games can eventually fall further to the back burners. Every big game that comes out nowadays feels this need to have massive open world games and it's getting rather tiring. Every game now is me just moving back and forth over and over to probably grind more things to get some eventual 'woohoo item' that makes me feel nice.

I would like the return of cartoony platformers like Rayman 2, Spyro etc
