The early 80s are a blur to me now.
I have no idea which was first.

I remember going to an arcade just to play Q*bert.
A buddy and I player a lot of Radarscope at our favorite bar.
PGA Golf on the Intellivision at a friends home.

The first game I owned was Donkey Kong.
    It was the ColecoVision's pack-in.

Need for Speed: Underground on the PC.
I played that game with my dad and I loved it so much back then. I think I was around 5 or 6 when I played it.

My most vivid memory in that game was that I wanted to rename my dads save but I accidentally pressed the delete button. I still feel bad to this day.

I think my first was Airborne Ranger on the Commodore 64, I had to play it on my brother's computer and it was one of the few games he would let me play.

Doom95 and the Myth series (Myth:the fallen lords and Myth 2: Soulbrighter). Myth: the fallen lords is bungies first game they developed for both mac and PC (they did games first for mac), then they created Halo and sold myth. These where my dads games. I remember one of my own games where Pharaoh (Sierra, those who made the Caesar series), which i played a lot. Had Warhammer 40k Chaos Gate demo. One of these are my first, exception for some kids games.

My first game was Pitfall on the Atari 2600. I have very good memories of it, as I remember it blew my young mind at the time, it really was a great adventure for me. Looking at it today makes me marvel at how a couple of pixels could transport me to a whole new world. Such is the power of a child“s imagination.

I don't remember the first game, but I remember my first gaming system - ColecoVision. I remember being amazed that I could make the TV do stuff by pushing buttons.. I was young enough to be amazed by pretty much anything at the time

First (home) game memories were of the Dragon32. It had its Donkey Kong and PacMan clones as well as a "speaking" game called Android Attack and also a strange Star Trek kind of simulator/text adventure called Dragon Trek.

First console was the Sega Mega Drive with Sonic/SoR on bundled.

Greatest memory was loading up the Half-Life Demo disc for the first time.

Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, when I was about 5 years old. I used to watch my cousins play it for me because I was too much of a pussy to do it my self. Eventually I completed the first level without assistance which I remember vividly.

Super Mario Bros. 2 on NES. I remember it being kind of a scary and weird game at the time (I was 4 or 5), but I still played it alot. Probably because it was the only game we had at the time.
The boss battle music, some sound-effects, the birdheads that straight up vore you and weird enemies were a healthy dose of nightmare fuel.
I am glad I still have the game and the NES, plus both are in fine condition.

I don't remember the specific first but Mr Robot and his robot factory on Atari was my most memorable first, was the first game I ever played with a level editor, which inspired me to become a game dev/modder later in life <3

Wow, great story. I adore this aspect of games - this satisfaction when you overcome your struggles. This is why my husband always plays on highest difficulty possible - cause it will take him longer to succeed, but satisfaction is enormous.
