I can't remember the exact game. It was an old arcade game at a corner store. Not as old as Pong but one of those black and white ones that they just put a colored film over so it would be green and black or orange and black for example. Could have been a newer Pong like game, the one where you could move the paddle left and right as well as up and down. Anyone remember that one?

My first one was Sonic on the Sega Mega Drive. First Christmas present I ever remember. And I can remember being unable to beat the first Robotnik fight!! For some reason, I tried hitting the wrecking ball but, obviously, it always killed me. I even asked a son's neighbor (he was 20 or so) if he could ask me and I showed him a screenshot of that boss that appeared in a promotional poster that came with the console. His answer: "I don't know, never played it, but try hitting that little device with lights under his ship". I did and accidentally realized that hitting Robotnik would beat him.
I wasn't the smartest kid around."Yeah, well… that's like… your opinion, man…"

The earliest game I can remember playing was Michael Jackson: Moonwalker for the Sega Genesis. I remember dying over and over and over on the first and second levels. Don't know if I ever beat it tbh.
If not that game, It could be Sonic the Hedgehog as I had that game alongside Moonwalker, but don't have much memories of it...

My very first game was super Mario world 2 for the Super Nintendo. My favorite memory back then is when I first discovered the star road. It was an actual shortcut to Bower’s castle not to mention you can pick any of the different color Yoshi. As a kid I always picked red as it is still my favorite color.

Sonic the Hedgehog, for the Sega Mega Drive. I don't think I have a favourite memory, other than nostalgia for the whole thing. I guess reaching Star Light Zone for the first time was nice. Considering the inability to save, after the torment that is getting through Labyrinth Zone, reaching a "peaceful" level with great music felt like an achievement.
