Smash Bros New Characters!?

May be an older bit of news here, but OMG Joker is in Smash bros Ultimate?!? This is amazing.
Not only did I love 'playing' Persona 5 (Well, I watched a let's play of 3 FES, 4 Golden, and 5, and loved them all), but it opens up whole new doors into what other new characters may be joining.

What do you guys think? Excited for anyone in particular?

I agree. I kind of hope Waluigi is the last DLC character, so everyone buys it at the end for the meme, and Nintendo rakes in the profits lol.
Fire emblem clones are odd, I love Marth and Ike but the other ones start feeling like more of the same. They're fun to play, but I wish their spots were left for other characters as well.

Go for it! The game is still new so everyone is still learning it, and everyone who wants it might not have it yet. It's the perfect time to join in as you'll almost be on equal footing with everyone. Also, Smash isn't like other fighters so it might be your cup of tea. It also has other modes if you just want a single player experience.

I know this is said a lot but Waluigi, as you saw the person that wanted Waluigi would buy the game if he is in it. Just imagine the monetary incentives that would give Nintendo. They would make so much money because people would want to buy it just for the meme. Honestly I could see some of the Mario Seven Stars characters perhaps being added. Seeing that square what cloud in the game I will not see why not for any other Square owned properties. I do have to say that I think there are too many Fire Emblem characters and they don't do too much difference between each other why do you need to have say 3 Echo fighters of Marth why not add an axe user or a bow user those are much more interesting or perhaps a spellcaster Healer or a mount user. I would not mind having Camila in the game really enjoy using Camila in Fire Emblem. Or you know Spears long-range that that would be interesting but now let's just have five different sword users from Fire Emblem that are basically the same.

Well, smash bros to me is a game meant for people to play each other for fun on the same console.
It's an AMAZING game if it's your thing, but I don't know your preferences so I can't say for sure, but it's nothing like streetfighter in terms of gameplay. Granted I never understand how people learn combos in those games so i just sit and get frustrated with them.
There's no need to know anything about the other games to play ultimate. If you already have the switch it's a must have. For many people that game alone is worth buying the switch for.

tldr: It's a really good game, and worth playing.

As someone who hasn't played any of the Smash games, I was wondering if Ultimate was a good point to jump in? I never really was a fan of traditional fighting games, but Smash seems different, and I've heard a lot of good things about it. I own a switch, but I tend to hold off on new triple-A titles for a little while. Ultimate really caught my eye though, any suggestions?

Personally I already have anyone I would ever want in the game after Joker they could choose whoever and I would be fine with it.
But if I would have to choose, I would personally want Sora from Kingdom Hearts and Shantae.

Waluigi for playable character, until then I won't buy it. Also would love to see nintendo have Fawful, though they are a very minor character I always loved the villian.

Yeah it's funny how that works. I guess since its such a big game (or that there's cool crossovers) people are excited even if they don't necessarily enjoy the game.

After seeing Joker join I can see literally any character make an appearance.
But Characters that i think could make sense are Travis Touchdown from No more Heroes (The new one comes to switch after all in january) and maybe Leon Kennedy with Remake 2 on the Horizon.

I hardly play Smash so I don't know any possible characters. I will say when they announce characters even I get excited.

I am personally waiting for Geralt of Rivia to take those portals he hates so much and stumble into Smash. If that has already happened... I've been under a rock I suppose.
