So I just stumbled on the trailer for this game last week and was quite surprised by it! I loved ARK for what it was and eagerly excited for this!

Anyone else keeping this game on their radar?

I loved playing ARK for a year before I stopped. While it was fun to play it was not without plenty of flaws. And then to see the Devs throwing out DLC during early access was a big wtf in my book. Atlas looks fun as well but I can't ignore the dreadful development of ARK.. Also the 40 000 players on one server? Yeah right... I may try it out for shits and giggles but I dont have high hopes that it will be anything major.

Yep, I'm definitely cautiously optimistic but hopeful it does at least half of what it claims to offer

It could be a good game, i mean Ark is a nice game, the problem is that the performance sucks. You need a decent rig to be able to play the game. That leaves out basically all my friends. If they improve the performance I could maybe buy it.

The concept excites me but the fact that its been developed by a team at wildcard is gonna make me wait at least a year or until it gets out of EA

Concept is really exciting, But Wildcard doesn't have a lot of community love with how buggy their games are. Definitely going to be a while before that is even playable lol
Not to mention they have a habit if reusing the same base game with the same bugs for everything lately.

I like the part where the old Ark menu is still accessible via hidden button in the Atlas client. The game can still turn out great even if they made it off a different client, but that'll be up to the players to decide.

Atlas is a terrible game, the devs are greedy, lazy and incompotent. They couldn't even get a reskin of their own game to a playable state before launch. Avoid them like the plague.
