Thoughts on PS2

What are your thoughts on the PS2? Its my favorite console to the point where im starting to collect it so what are your thoughts about it? What obscure ps2 games do you know that i should find?

One of my 1st PS2 games too but a lot of its contents were taken out (the Bouncer). Scenes like those runninr/ jumping over the turnstiles. Dominique being playable and the wonky controls. Now if Square applied the DOA2 engine on it. Who knows?

I miss the PS2, I think the game I played the most and would recommend is Need for Speed Most Wanted. It's my favorite Need for Speed game

The PS2 was great even though I don't remember a lot of the games I had, I just remember being so happy playing games that were so unique from each other

My favorite PS2 game will always be KILLZONE for the asthetics alone.

The PS2 is a great console filled with some amazing games. Like, I remember being astounded by The Bouncer, just because of how smooth everything looked. Oni was such a weird game to me, I was 12 the last time I played it and I got stuck in some pipes, like he character glitched into some pipes. Not Onimusha, but Oni the anime chick with the gun, you know. If I had to recommend one game for the PS2 though. It'd have to me Metal Saga, I'm even gonna put up an image because this game is awesome.

It's a JRPG where you gain the control of a tank and you go on a journey of mystical proportions. You fight flowers with feet and legs, other tanks, muscle men... It's a rompin' good time. If you're looking for something unconventional, with great surrealist comedy. Play this game, it's great.

Gamei have played:
Onimusha dawn of dream - aparently the worst of the series but i only played this one and enjoyed it

Dark cloud - PLAY IT THERE IS A CATGIRL

Dark chronicle - dark cloud 2 for burgers, i've started it and i only want to find time to continue it.

Max payne - They invented the slow motion bullet and the story is cliché but good

Spider man ultimate - you can play venom and destroy shit

God hand - the first boss are two black muscular trannies, do i really need to say more ?


Game i will play:
Drakengard 1 & 2 - after nier automata i'm highly interessted in all yoko taro's work

Xenosaga 1/2/3 - Unofficial prequel of xenoblade chronicles, same dudes but they don't have the right to this licence

My Fat 1st release JP version still works. Unfortunately, only my slim PS2 USA version is all that is left of my NTSC US. My fat unit died out on me. And it won't work on the latest flat screen, all washed up.

Don't forget the Yakuza Series kicked off on PS2 and what a great series it is i liked it back then and the Remasters on PS4 are great too.

a few more obscure games came to mind

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, is good but if you mind PS1 games also check out the first one super good

Monster Ranch 3 and 4, like pokemon but your monsters have a lifespan so if you train them right you won't get far, also you generate new monsters by inserting CD'S and game discs into the console each disk generates a monster, so if you still have a bunch of old music CDs laying around you might get lucky with a good monster

There’s component cables for it so it looks pretty great imo. I do need to find a crt television if I’m going to play more retro games then again it did look fine when I bought star fox...

I miss PS2. My favorite game was san andreas. It was a classic.
