    Creating Games

    Hey all,

I, as a student and teacher of video game development, love to make games. I have made a few titles through Unity and am passionate about the nature of creating games. I code, make art and do video production and theatrics for the games that I make. That being said, is anyone making any cool games? I am currently working on a grid based strategy game (Think final fantasy tactics or fire emblem) but with a 3 dimensional grid instead of a top down, 2 dimensional grid. This is solely for the purpose of space combat, as I am creating a space warfare RPG with turn based strategy elements. Anyways, let me know what cool game ideas you guys are developing, if you would like to just discuss or trade knowledge or ideas I always love a good discussion.

OH awesome! I know that working in the realm of sci-fi can be a bit overwhelming because of the research you are performing. I suggest looking into the novella, "The Lifecycle of Software Objects" if you are interested in writing believable A.I. and robotic concepts!

For sure. I know puzzle platformers do really well on mobile. Was thinking of making a quick and easy puzzle game for mobile to generate revenue for a bigger budget game I've been writing notes for!

I'm currently putting a concept doc for a Science-Fiction RPG ( Note: not a science-fantasy, like Mass Effect, Star Wars, etc., an actual Sci-Fi RPG ) set in the late 35th century. I'm using a lot of inspiration from various real-world technologies, science fiction books like "A Stainless Steel Rat", "I, Robot", etc, and a few science fiction and historical fiction movies. If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them

I'm no creator, but I know a game I would really love to see remade. Ever hear of Pushover? It was an old, puzzle platform game based on dominoes. I don't remember what company made it, but I do remember the Quavers sponsorship for it (who could ever forget Colin Quaver?) Never seen another game like it since which is a shame, I'm sure it would really become quite popular, specially on a mobile platform.
