Otherwise, I'd probably say Max Payne.

Metro. The franchise doesn't get enough love. Hopefully Exodus blows up like The Witcher 3 did for CDPR

I believe VasantJ's games on kongregate could use some love. His Medieval Cop series is hilarious, witty and fun to play, and for free no less. Even though the dev is often rewarded in monthly contests on that website, I haven't heard of anyone playing his games outside kongregate or knowing about their existance.

I'm gonna say Ogre Battle. But it's hard to call it underrated because so few people know about it, it's not really rated at all...

Risen series, they got destroyed in reviews that i felt were too harsh. Pirana Byte's does a strange combat that takes getting used to and grows on you. That being said entire trilogy was super fun to play.

I really liked the first two games, can't say anything about the third because I haven't played it. I never knew they were received so negatively.

Give it a try, its better then the second one for sure and the entire narative of guilds is back in full glory. Sadly the main character is a new one but you meet almost all of the old NPC's you've met and a lot of old places you've visited.

Also Library of Ruina is coming 2019 the sequel to Lobotomy Corporation.
