The censoring of certain jrpgs on ps4 is making me kinda focus more on the Switch honestly. The main reason I went from ps2 to 360 back to ps4 was because there weren't enough good rpgs, if they want to start censoring certain ones we'll just get less and less eventually.

Well that is the thing these days, more and more kids buy games and game companies want to have parents buy their games, so that means games based on wars and other mature content need to be scaled back to the point that they can get under the M rating to get around parents concerns on the matter.

But luckily the people behind games like Doom, Witcher, etc understand that these kind of games are designed for a mature aduence and cutting stuff back would only ruin the experience and settings they are in.

The M rating means almost nothing in many games. I have noticed a lot of AAA games nowadays avoid gibs and gore. Luckily not all devs are this scared to do what we demand, but I feel they keep trying to market M rated games as if kids are going to buy them. I'm sorry if you aren't 18 you *shouldn't* be playing M rated games JUST FOR THIS REASON! Of course kids *might* get their hands on these games, but that doesnt mean we should make them much more child friendly for the *just in case* BS.

Example why does nearly every call of duty backtrack from the amazing gorey action found in WaW? Try playing Battlefield V and notice blood doesnt even exist. I should see pools of blood. So many games lack that great blood spray we all used to fap over.

eh...its kind of a double edge sword really. To my mom at the very least she thinks there is WAY too many M-rated games. Now I understand the reason why and I was lucky enough for my mom to eventually allow me to play M-rated games but if Sony is toning them down then they should just simply try to accept more certain types of games. We got a rating system for a reason so if Sony doesn't want to sell as many rated M games then they should just bring onto the platform a bunch of the other rated stuff not change what is acceptable for a rating.
