Life Is Strange. Avoid 360/PS3 versions. Bad screen tearing. The rest are good. Wait for sale, it happens often.

Nobody knows what you like. a Must-play to me can easily be met with a grimace by others. You have to let people know what games you are open to.

Slay the Spire- a fun card game about climbing to the top of a spire and... slaying it.
Mirror's Edge- Parkour and gun fights
Deponia- Amazing point-and-click adventure game that has a lot of charm
Darkest Dungeon- A long journey through the depths of an old mansion. Assemble a party of mercenaries and fight back the horrors that lie in the darkness.
Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion- A meme game that will make you howl with laughter and with fear. I still can't get over the trauma of the cardboard cutouts.

If you want a very unique gameplay experience I encourage you to play "Senua's Sacrifice", which tackles issues of mental illness in a fantasy game. Having first hand experience with the subject matter, I can say that it is handled both respectfully and about as accurately as possible for a video game.

This. Fallout and BG are a must. Really. In the JRPG department I also second FF, DQ and would add Chrono Trigger. Nice list friend.

If you're into apocalypse and post-apocalypse type of games (or want to try them out), I'd highly recommend S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and and Metro series.

Don't get thrown off S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s age and old graphics, it is still highly atmospheric and immersive. Shadow of Chernobyl is the first game in the series, and Call of Prypiat is the third and the next one you should play. Skip the second game Clear Sky because it's an unplayable heap of bugged rubbish. There are also rumors circulating of the devs making a new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game. Btw, the game is made in the same country where it takes place, which is my Homeland. Also, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is where the Cheeki Breeki meme originated from. Oh, and, if you ever decide to pick up any of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. books, such as Roadside Picnic, don't be thrown off that the book and game universes are completely different.

Metro games are much newer than S.T.A.L.K.E.R., completely seen in the graphics. Has a very nice and deep story. Metro 2033 is first, then Metro Last Light. The Redux versions are just basically a nicer set of graphics, nicer designs of some items, some bug fixes, etc. And just as S.T.A.L.K.E.R., a new one is being made - Metro Exodus, albeit this is confirmed, including the approximate release date. Metro is too based on books which, if you like the games, you should definitely read.

Also fun fact: some of the developers of Metro games used to develop S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.

Finally, one drawback for non-Russian speakers is the translations. For S.T.A.L.K.E.R. all you can really hope for are subtitles and text translations, while all voice acting will still be in Russian. Metro has it better - both subtitles and dubs, the characters will speak English with a heavy Russian accent. Although I personally find the Metro translation horribly inaccurate in some instances.

Mad Max is great fun. It has a simple storyline, engaging cast of characters, fun cinematic ground combat like Batman or Assassins Creed, and excellent vehicular combat. Ever wanted to build your own post apocalyptic muscle car? Mad Max has you covered. I believe it's currently on sale on Humble Bundle for 5$

Divinity Original Sin: 2 is a wonderful game to play. It is a perfect entry game into the series that guarantees at least 50 hours. It is one of the closest newer games to come out that is similar to the DnD experience. It has turn based combat that encourages the player to take advantage of the synergies that can arise from the use of spells and abilities. For example, one of the classes, Geomancer, has an ability to throw a meteor-like ball of dirt that covers the area where it lands in oil, making the perfect spot for another character to follow up with a fire spell.

In Divinity Original Sin 2, you can have a party of up to 4 players (Either AI controlled or if you have 3 friends) and every NPC will react differently to each member in your party, depending on their race/traits/honor. While D:OS2 has the top down camera angle that a lot of people don't like, once you get used to it, you will enjoy this game. I gotta be honest, I've recommended this game almost everyone who asks me for recommendations that aren't super mainstream and underrated.

Saints Row IV. Its more or less the mid-late seasons of the tv show Archer as a video game. Adult humor, fun characters, and a system that says "f it, do what you want" and actually lets you. The DLCs are actually worth it too, no horse armor or 15 minute mission crap.

Good pick Valkyria Chronicles is legit such an under-appreciated RPG, with strong story and intense tactical strategy combat.
