Favorite Tycoon/Simulator Games?

I fondly remember Oil Tycoon (which unfortunately no current retailers carry to my knowledge, not even GoG so I have to wear an eyepatch and a wooden leg while playing it). It was quite deep and has a great simulation of oil prices - if you start selling oil in specific region of the world after a while the market is full and you can't sell it anymore without a loss (as oil rigs you build needs to be powered as well and it costs money). Not terribly difficult, but very fun.

I like city builders a lot. Civilization, Sim City.
There's an indie game called Frostpunk that came out earlier this year that I really like. Premise is you're trying to develop a city in a post-apocalyptic arctic wasteland.

Rollercoaster Tycoon is definitely in my top tycoon games. I also enjoyed Thrillville for the PS2 when I was younger, another game that was based around amusement parks; might even was a rollercoaster tycoon franchise game.
Of the more sorta recent simulation games I been enjoying Banished. Not entirely sure if would count that as a tycoon or simulator but it uses a lot of same concepts/mechanics to increase population of your "park" etc. Played Prison Architect some but wasn't a fan due to some of the mechanics, but the story they were trying to create somewhat seemed interesting.
Sims games I loved Sims 2 and loved the open worldness of Sims 3. Am not a fan of Sims 4 at all except for some of the create-a-sim features added to it.
Also when bored I'll sometimes go back to the classic "papa" franchise flash games that you can find on coolmath or such websites. They may be simple but can keep my attention for hours still.

Euro Truck Simulator 2. That game is like a drug and I don't even understand why after hundreds of hours.

Back in the day it was Simcity 3000.
Played that game for hours on end till the CD exploded in my drive.

To answer your comment, JayinGray, though, my current favorite game is Skyrim, followed by Fallout 4... I like discovered myself in Bethesda's 2006-2015 games.
Sims 3 and Civ III are in my top 5 or 10, for sure

Rollercoaster Tycoon and the Sims for sure. I've gotten into Farming Simulator more recently.

Transport Tycoon (or it's more current version, OpenTTD) would be my choice.

Rollercoaster Tycoon would be my favorite tycoon game. As for simulation, Tropico games are wacky and I love that and the Sims 3 has been my favorite Sims so far.

Original Rollercoaster Tycoon, Zoo Tycoon, and Theme Hospital. Loved the first “The Sims” game and it’s expansion packs, never really got into the ones that came after it though.
