A link to the past by a LOOOOOOONGSHOT. Ocarina of Time is often considered as the superior game. But to me it always felt like a 3D re-imagination of A Link to the Past.

Castrate me if you will, but, Skyward Sword, it got way too much hate for its motion controls and got thrown out to the trash by a lot of fans, but I think its story and lore is amazing.

Tough one. For me its always been tied between Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time I like them both immensely for different reasons.Resident gamer, anime weeb, tech guy, and meme enthusiast

My first experience with LOZ was at my grandparents. They had both LOZ 1 and LOZ 2, but the one that always stuck with me was Links awakening. I love that game. It is my favorite one, and it's the only one I want to get a world map of. (I like to collect world maps of games I love.)

Hyrule Warriors. :P If you want a mainline entry, though, probably Breath of the Wild. I always appreciated the N64 games for their lore but not so much for their gameplay. I love Wind Waker, Zelda II, and Link's Awakening, but BoTW does so many things better than any of the 3D games, and it's one of the few Zeldas I've actually replayed. Great game.
(I still really like Hyrule Warriors, though.)

I really liked Twilight Princess. I think that choice is porbably not popular with many people, but for some reason i got very attached to that Zelda title, particularly becuse i liked the design of the world, monsters and characters. The mechanic for turning into the wolf was also fun. It felt a bit darker in tone than many of the other titles too. And Zant was always my favorite villain in the series.
A close second for favorite would be Majora's Mask.

I'm going to have to be a bit of a rebel and say Wind Waker. While I appreciate and thought afterwards that Ocarina of Time was amazing, Wind Waker was my first introduction to the Zelda games. Before that, I had refused to even look at them. Wind Waker on the gamecube was the first time a game made me teary eyed. No spoilers, but when a certain person gets sick it really hit me in the feels because I had someone close to me that was also sick. Over time I cannot hear a certain soundtrack in that game without tearing up slightly.

It's a cliche answer, but Link to the Past for me.
My favorite non-Zelda Zeldalike is Legend of Oasis (aka Story of Thor 2) for the Sega Saturn. A game I like even more than Link to the Past due to it's incredible sprite work, animation, background art, sprite scaling, weapon + elemental familiar mechanics, and momentous traversal + combat mechanics, the way it all influences the dungeon design, puzzles and secrets.
