For me, it is Horizon Zero Dawn. I have tried to play this game and I just don't see what the hype and big deal behind the game that everyone else sees. To me, it is just another run-of-the-mill open world game that uses stealth mechanic as it shtick. I don't care for the characters and story either.

FF15. I thought it combined everything tedious about real life with everything tedious about games. Real time driving, eating and sleeping *and* unending generic fetch quests? Where do I sign!

The Dragon Age series for me has been quite a disappointment.
Maybe because i"m spoiled by other CRPGs but, it feels like a water-down take of a CRPG with little new to offer.
I never got the hype or praise.

Agreed, I could never get into that franchise either, though I've heard Infinite is a great game.

Horizon Zero Dawn, I played through the tutorial (a bit drawn out imo) then never got into it. Maybe I'll give it another shot one day.

I loved the God of War franchise, with it's chaotic action, colossal boss fights, gore, sex mini games and nudity, it was one of the most video game video games out there.
Now it's a walking simulator with bad combat that is hailed as a masterpiece.
I hate this game and the dangerous precedent it sets for action games.
It makes me very afraid for a possible Ninja Gaiden 4 and a potential Devil May Cry 6.

Like God of War I was a massive Tomb Raider fan, but this reboot and it's sequels destroyed the franchise for me.
I loved Tomb Raider back when was all about exploring, puzzle solving turns and playing as a charasmatic, witty and sexy female action hero who faught dinosuars, dragons and even gods, but now due to gamers having low standards and being gullible for walkie talkie feels-a-thons, it's now a generic cover shooter/Uncharted Clone with Lara being a boring chew toy.

    Assassins Creed. All of them.

The storys are forgettable, the sidequests are copy and pasted seemingly at random over the map, trailing missions up the ass and everything feels safe and predictable.

I love and respect the heck out of Souls, but I'm no good at them and it upsets me a little.

I just can't care about Smash. It's another Nintendo fighting game in a long line of Nintendo fighting games and I don't play competitive games. That actually leaves out a lot of games for me that I don't play.

After playing Witcher 3, it's hard to like any other open world rpg.

I sat and played Demon Souls for like 4 hours straight one day and realized I hadn't even finished the tutorial. It was an awful time.
For some reason I didn't learn my lesson and bought DS1 and 2, then also played Bloodborne (I actually enjoyed this one, it felt darker)

Partially agree, I like Morrowind but most of the others feel a bit unfinished, I had that with Oblivion, felt great with the first playthrough.
But then I modded it, and after that base game felt bad.

And Skyrim..........somehow something was missing, could be the too simplistic character/roleplaying system or something else.

Edit: HxCary2 there might be a lot of oldschool Fallout Players that might agree with you about Fallout 3 or New Vegas.................

I might spark an outrage with this one but I absolutely dread the fallout games, I couldn't get into fallout 3 or New Vegas no matter how hard I tried.

Metal Gear Solid is another series that I absolutely cannot sit and play, maybe I'm just really bad at stealth sims.

I've had love for most RTS games such as Empire Earth, Age of Empires, Age of Mythology and Stronghold, but if I had to sit down and play an hour of Civilization, I think I would actually cry.
