‘Journey to the Savage Planet’ Coming In January

  • Pick it up on January 28th.
  • Currently 10% off until release.
  • Also coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Developer Typhoon Studios and publisher 505 Games will release their action exploration title Journey to the Savage Planet on the 28th of January 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via The Epic Games Store due to a one year exclusivity deal. There is currently a 10% off discount through Epic, lowering the price from $29.99 to $26.99. This sale will last until the 28th of January.

The developers describe Journey to the Savage Planet as an upbeat co-op adventure title that takes place in a bright and colorful alien world. Players will find weird and wonderful creatures that they’ve never imagined could exist in this fictional world. Journey to the Strange Planet will put you into the shoes of an employee of the Kindred Aerospace, which happens to be the fourth greatest interstellar exploration company on the planet, a feat they are most proud of.

It doesn’t take long for you to be deployed to an uncharted planet that is far away in the outskirts of the universe. You head off with high hopes on this mission, but with barely any equipment and no plan on how to tackle your mission. Your job is to head to this newly found planet and determine whether it is suitable for human life. Players will get to explore this alien planet, and study the alien flora. Other features are as follows:

  • 2-PLAYER ONLINE CO-OP: Play solo or bring a friend. Onward to adventure!
  • EXPLORE, FIGHT & CATALOG: Survey 4 different Biomes on Planet AR-Y 26. Scan and catalog alien flora and fauna at your own pace. Discover 30+ creatures, each with unique behaviors, threats, and abilities. Complete player-driven quests while uncovering hundreds of collectibles and secrets along the way.
  • UPGRADE TO ADVANCE: Access new areas by upgrading your tools including a laser pistol, a rocket pack for boost jumps, rocket boots for swift descents and more. Your trusty 3D printer will turn any old space trash you discover into useful items!
  • UNCOVER THE MYSTERY: Are you truly alone? Solve the mystery to complete your survey of the planet.

Are you excited for Journey to the Savage Planet? It reminds me a lot of No Man’s Sky, but without all of the crafting elements. What are some of the best space games?
