Overwatch League: San Francisco Shock Defeats Vancouver Titans in 2019 Season Stage 2 Finals

  • San Francisco Shock Defeated Newcomers Vancouver Titans.
  • Both teams were undefeated throughout the season.
  • Stage 3 begins next month.

In a close matchup, the San Francisco Shock has defeated the Vancouver Titans to become the Overwatch League 2019 Season Stage 2 champions. Both teams survived the stage undefeated, but SF Shock managed to come out on top after losing their second and third games. This is a significant shift from the Shock’s gameplay throughout the season 2018 season, where they continually failed to make it into stage playoffs, and ultimately were left out of the seasonal playoffs, with a 17-23 record overall.

This is the Vancouver Titans’ first season, having been one of the expansion teams introduced back in February. The Titans were the champions of Stage 1, having gone undefeated then as well. They joined the league along with teams like the Atlanta Reign, Toronto Defiant, Hangzhou Spark, and several others.

Stage 3 for the 2019 season begins on June 6th, with games pitting the Chengdu Hunters against the Guangzhou Charge, the Florida Mayhem against the Seoul Dynasty, and the San Francisco Shock against the Atlanta Reign.
